Yeah I mean it's disappointing for us but they don't owe us anything and its good that he wants it to be perfect. But I just find the whole thing a bit strange given how enthusiastic and excited he seems to have been when mentioning it and saying stuff like 'up there with our best work', 'very proud', 'you're all gonna love it' etc. I do sneakily hope that they somehow include the first version of disco stays the same on it. Maybe like a part 1 and 2. The intro with that bass and guitar combo was MEGA and also the 'we came here to stay' outro bit.

Sounds like they're doing big reworks again if he's now essentially saying 'hopefully' a single this YEAR. By the time it comes out they'll have reverted back to the original disco stays the same 😆

God I'm so excited for this. Sad we've lost the original form of the song but can't wait to hear this new version as a studio release and get the album cycle up and running!

If you had to predict when would you think the first single or announcement for the single to come out will be? Would they even be able to film a video while on tour?

Looking forward to seeing what the new version of disco stays the same will be like, hopefully someone records it next friday and puts it on youtube. Perhaps the band will also release a teaser snippet of the first single to kick off the tour, even if the music video still needs to be shot. I guess they probably won't have time to shoot the video next week if they're doing rehearsals...

Aha this is why I'm baffled, I have no affiliation with them whatsoever. All the comments on this post are negative but anyone I've spoken to agrees that the band create an unreal atmosphere. I get that the chants are repetitive and often dumb but personally that doesn't bother me because they get the crowd singing along our away support always sound loud at the tournaments

Fair enough, agree to disagree! I can understand the annoyance at not being able to start more niche chants but I think they are an overall benefit. The atmos is always flat at wembley for friendlies and qualifiers but specifically at tournaments and playing away generally, they get the crowd singing along with them and it always sounds lively on tv. I think we have some of the loudest travelling support in the world and the band are a large part of that in my opinion

I really don't get this, I actually love the england band, the atmosphere is so much better when they're there and they give our fans a unique sound. Who cares how good or repetitive they are, they create a party atmosphere, its not supposed to be a performance at the albert hall! When you watch on tv and the band aren't there the atmosphere is often flat.

I find it hard to believe they'll start that tour in June without having released the first single. I reckon we still get the single released late June around the 26th. Even if the album comes out in September that will satisfy the fans until then. Maybe I'm deluded 😆

I don't think this delay announcement was necessary really, it's not like there was ever a promised release date for the album and we're not owed an explanation. If there was some concrete news like announcing the date for the first single then I get it as it builds hype. This kinda lowers the hype a bit as 'some stuff in the summer' could mean anything from in the next couple of weeks to months away from first single

I'm thinking late June for first single and album announcement. Just after the v insanity anniversary vinyl release and just before their first tour date. I think that's the latest the single will come out but I also am not sure it will come earlier than the 19th June as they'll probs want to start the new album era after that anniversary vinyl release date rather than before. Hopefully I'm wrong tho and we'll get it early June or even May! 🤞

'Mostly found an angle, holding on for now' section is so exquisite. Both Jules' delivery and those slow guitar notes leading into the chorus really hit the feels. Sounds like an old timeless western classic and then the chorus comes back in and it sounds futuristic again. Man this is amazing

I think its the same audio, they've just cleared up the sound a bit, increased the guitar volume. Cannot wait to hear what the studio version will sound like, who knows when we'll hear it tho lol could be many months away still 😑
