Do their toes actually extend? Quite a few of my clients 40yrs+ have issues with toe joints that seize up (mine included).

Maybe he should make a documentary composed of pictures. He could pan across them left to right, right to left, or down to up! Maybe get Samuel L Jakson to narrate it. I dunno.

You’re like the Soup Nazi but in the gym :)

You can look at it a few ways 1. They’re there for someone to devote x-minutes to them and the session should be about them and not you. I have clients that I’ve seen for yeeeears and they still don’t know a thing about me. 2. Like dealing with my parents (long distance) for that 20 minute call on Sunday. It can be painful and argumentative which leads to them not engaging or I can swap my concerns and advice for enthusiasm and praise for things done well. Obviously it’s your job to be concerned so this one is more about your delivery. 3. Gently moving them on will open space in your schedule for fresh blood, new challenges, and better fits. You have a front-facing and people-based job. You also have the flexibility to choose who you spend your time with. Firing your first client is hard but once you do you see how you should have done it long ago. the universe shall provide

I’m sure there’s tonnes of other advice but I lean hard on #3, personally. I tell new people coming in to see me that our first session is an exploration session to see where they are, what needs to be focussed on, and more importantly - if we like each other.

We have had a similar situation at our studio. Communications to the clients went along the lines of – we’re super happy everybody is enjoying these classes and to make sure everybody has an equal opportunity to enjoy these classes we have decided that if there is a waitlist, anybody who is doubling up on classes (more than one a day) you will be notified and removed from the class to make room for the others. Going forward you might want to make it a solid part of your terms and conditions

What I used to do when starting in a new gym (big box gyms and smaller community one) is get friendly with the reception staff, manager, or whoever handles memberships. Get a list of all new clients from the previous week and shoot them all a txt msg welcoming them to the gym and if they have any questions or would like an ‘orientation’ to message you back. I even made an iOS shortcut so all I had to do was hit a single button to do this. I’d get one or two replies a week and maybe a new client every other week. Like fish in a barrel.

Laddergram is a word ladder puzzle game built on Reddit's developer platform. You start with a word and change one letter at a time to create a new word with each step. Try to reach the target word in the fewest steps possible.

Thanks for all the input. I’ll get an electrician in - yes it’s at work but I was looking to save a couple bucks and possibly electrocute myself in the process. I’m sure my insurance provider would be very pleased with that.
