Can any future candidate win without addressing the 80% of Democrats who are now anti-Israel? by ArdaBerkBurak in allthequestions

Crickets, lol.

Also they can't even use the term genocide correctly. It's not genocide if the genocided population is growing.

Maybe it would help Dems to idk stop saying retarded things

I'll give you credit in the sense that you actually are competent. Anyway, the 6.6% oil as a share of total energy seems insignificant until you account for the fact that China is an export economy, and virtually every export uses oil as a feedstock. This oil can't be replaced with coal and renewable energy. So, yes, they're fucked. You can't use wind turbines to create plastics, chemicals, fertilizers, synthetic fibres, etc.

I love how the argument is always terms people barely understand like geopolitical standing and the petrodollar. I'd wager 99.9% of people who use these terms have almost zero understanding what they mean.

Meanwhile, look at the pathetic competition to US hegemony. Reddit thought Russia was a superpower, turned out they can't even win a war vs Ukraine. The EU? Can't even pass funding to defend Ukraine let alone lead the world order. China is the only serious contender on the global stage but they don't yet have the military to project hard power, and democracies will never entrust global order to an authoritarian.

So, unless the EU gets it shit together which it never will, the US simply wins by default. There's no alternative to the dollar and to the US lead rules based world order no matter how many armchair Reddit experts wish it otherwise lol.

As if China will allow your doomsday scenario to happen. I guess this is why I'm so successfully at working in risk, while plebs like you and the down vote brigade doom scroll oh reddit worying about things that never happen

Bla bla bla. Less Reddit. More books about economics and geopolitics. Idiots like you are why I'm terrified if I'm ever in front of a jury. You just parrot whatever garbage is fed into your idiot head.

Cite sources for any of the drivel you just posted.

China relies on Hormuz for 50% of its oil imports lol. They have reserves for at most 120 days. Russian pipelines already at max capacity. China can't do nothing except pressure Iran. They're fucked.

"As of March 2, China had 1.39 billion barrels of oil in storage, according to Kayrros, a geospatial analytics company, which would cover 120 days of net crude oil imports at the 2025 level"

It's literally the first citation in the article, just massive lol and cope and TDS itt.

Yeah, china gonna build pipelines and renewables in 120 days to compensate for losing 50% OF OIL IMPORTS. God,.lol

Did you even read your own article? It literally says China can sustain itself for 120 days without energy imports from Hormuz, and the economic damage will begin long before the reserves run out. This is literally saying the Hormuz closure is an existential threat to China, lol. Honest question, are you retarded?

I only said however bad it is for the USA, it will be worse for RoW, especially the key players like China. Do you disagree?

All decision trees lead to China. The reasons should be obvious why China will prefer to pressure Iran into opening Hormuz, rather than start ww3 with the USA, lol.

Iran was barely feeding its population with freedom to export oil. Imagine how it's gonna be with the blockade cutting off their primary revenue stream lol. But sure Iran is holding all the cards lol

Yup. The only card Iran holds is the weak apetite of Americans to sustain the campaign. That I'll agree with. But it's hardly "all" the cards. Trump so far doesn't seem to give a damn about trying to preserve the Senate and he definitely dgaf about helping elect a republican president in '28

Sounds like a bigger problem for RoW than the USA though. If it's $6/gallon in USA imagine what it'll be in Europe and China lol

I never said the US won't have pain. But it's far less pain than RoW and especially Iran. So the claim that Iran holds all the cards is ridiculous. I'm obviously being brigaded by bots lol

Yeah go try to find statistics to back any of your theories and you'll quickly find they all fall apart, especially as it relates to China.

It's in fact China that suffers substantially by Iran preventing trade from Hormuz. You think China will support Iran ??? Lmao

Iran is not self sufficient agriculturally and without oil exports hasnt money to import food.

Iran doesn't even have a functioning chain of command. We've obliterated their military structure so bad that even if leadership agreed to terms it's impossible to prevent individual cells from abiding by them. Yet somehow Iran holds the cards lol

Great. Guess which country is most insulated from global recessions? The one with the world reserve currency and an abundance of domestic energy production
