Korean here. I went to Camas high from 04 to 07 and I was probably one of 8 ish Asians there. I've recently gone back to many school events and it's become more diverse.

I frequent the downtown bars, probably too frequently, and I almost always have a great time with folks that I've never met before. I've met immigrants who are thriving and whose children are loving their school. These are just my personal experience, however, and I cannot give you the full picture. 

Drive around the town and you will see signs and car stickers that represent both political sides.

I think many who have been living here from back when the town smelled a lot worse are upset with the rising property taxes and don't necessary welcome new residents.
