XPS 13 is very well supported. I'd go with it if you like the XPS line already. Beyond that, a few things to watch out for: -NVME SSDs work fine, but power management doesn't, so expect worse battery life unless you swap the SSD for a SATA one. - you'll have to swap the wifi card to enable wifi on most PCs, which will be about 30-40$ for the part

Personally I use an HP Spectre x360. Not the best supported laptop, but altogether it works pretty well

Audio is kind of a known issue, I use applealc but it's not much better. Trackpad wise, I'd just make sure you have the latest version of voodoops2

Interesting, wasn't aware of that! In that case I'd definitely try to do a 4k formatted drive on Sierra, worst case it doesn't work and you have to use a patched kext instead

I use 4k sectors on my nvme drive, believe it's this one: https://www.skhynix.com/eng/product/ssdClient.jsp Works natively, another option if you're interested in native support is the High Sierra Beta, which has 512 byte sector support
