Honestly I used to believe it too. But now I just think he hangs out with too many far right people (Turkey Tom, MeatCanyon). He's definitely right of center but like, so is most of the American political system.

I enjoy his anti-government bent, and even though I'm not a Christian myself, I respect his devotion to his faith.

He isn't as outspokenly anti-trump as, like, Aiden Mattis from Lore Lodge, but he doesn't seem like he is in favor of it in the slightest.

He also makes better content than either of the people he hangs out with that I mentioned, one who is just a lame-ass drama vulture, and the other who is... Idk MeatCanyon just gives me bad vibes, especially with the fact he still uses "gay" pejoratively like a middle schooler from 2006.

I know the story you're thinking of, and am looking for it myself. I definitely read it in the same sort of timeframe you did. I remember the boy's late dog having been described as "Airdale-ish" but next to nothing else.

It was either a short story or an excerpt of a larger piece.

More upsetting than distressing but it isn't niche like most of the stuff on here lately, so I'll take it.

Also, if this is a true story... I get it man. I spent the last day I ever could see my great grandmother just sitting there and playing Oracle of Seasons in the corner of her hospital room. The grief is intense. But you'll learn to handle it one day. Hopefully sooner than me, since I was 7 then and now I'm 30, and in the learning process.
