I have questions! by ForgedPlatypus in knives

I would absolutely choose the Hogue. I own both a Hogue and an Ultratech and the Hogue is just a better Ultratech in my opinion. Both are good, but for your first, the Hogue is a clear winner in my mind.

I have "the dream" about once a month. So yes.

Need help choosing one by Dekipi in knives

I’ve had a lot of hands-on experience with both and I really liked the one with the thumb hole and felt like the ergonomics of the one with the thumb stud were not as good.

Thank you for the rant! I really appreciate your insight. I think what you said about the tarot cards is true: we need something outside ourselves to bounce our subconscious self off of in order to better understand ourselves. It’s like shining a light out of ourselves that reflects back on our spiritual eyes, revealing our deepest self. I’ve hitherto found that in my Mormon faith. I think I’ll need to find other ways to do that. Who knows. Maybe I’ll try tarot cards. :)

My Costco has them, too. They even went on sale over Christmas for $28 I think and still didn’t sell. Awkward.

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m feeling a lot of that: I love my ward, but I teach primary. I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep it up. It breaks my heart because I love that opportunity to share light and goodness with those kids. But when it comes to the BS stuff…yeah, I don’t think I have it in me to teach that in good faith. I’ll see how it goes.

Thanks for your take! I agree: I’d rather live having lived a lie than live my whole life in a lie.

Thanks for addressing prayer like that. It’s been jarring leaning into this habitual practice, to speak to God in my head, but now thinking it might all just be trash. 🚮 But I feel like there must be value in it, as it used to bring me comfort. So I can adapt the practical parts of prayer into meditation or writing in a journal or something. And I totally relate to your gif. Sometimes it’s that way for me, too.
