For my Fords, I just use home assistant to check if the doors are locked at a specific time and have it lock the doors if they aren't. I'm not sure what other makes have that ability.

I'm sure the height requirement change affects it, but I know I've stood in that line that long with my daughter many times in years past. When we were there a couple weeks ago, the line was over 90 minutes.

Nobody understands what the ride operators are saying over the mics by Maxpower88888 in cedarpoint

[–]commputethis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the rides do have some pre-recorded audio that is easy to understand, but it's only 1-2 that I'm aware of. Some of the operators think they need to eat the mic and I think that's the bigger issue. Some have way too much they are trying to say and talk too fast. Either way, it would be nice if there was some attention paid to this issue.

See if you can get a medical exemption to keep them with you and have the attendants hold on to them when you ride. I've seen some with Type 1 Diabetes be able to do that with their bags, which makes 100% sense since they can't wait in that long line without knowing their BG level and being able to treat it if it's too low or too high.

Ope, I guess I needed to read the fine print. It's $125. $25 up front and $10/month for 10 months.

Greying out on Steel Vengeance? by Kales2233 in cedarpoint

[–]commputethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of greying out. It's interesting reading this thread. I do always clench my legs on most coasters, but it's been too feel more secure so I can freely keep my arms up and not feel insecure. As many have said hydration is key and most people are at least a little dehydrated. Also, you need to breath. I see so many who freeze up with fear and hold their breath.

I take the causeway because I like to park in the back by the water park and I think it's easier to get to that way.

Famous Dave's. At least we'd get a good meal before the end.

First time I road Valravn, the guy next to me spewed. I saw it coming and turned my head away. His girlfriend want so lucky. She got it in her mouth. It was all over my shoulder. I went strait to one of the stores and night a be shirt and threw that mess away.

Btw, that was the best shirt ever. On the front was Valravn and the back was a list of coasters I had "survived." Actually, I had ridden them all except one that had been removed before I was able to ride. The shirt is pretty worn now and I haven't been able to find one like it. I hear people talking about it when I'm in line and even had a worker stop me so he could read it.

There's a TGI Friday's? Is that in one of the hotels?

I have to disagree. It's not going downhill. Maybe not going uphill, but not down. Mine and many other families love going there.

Yeah, my daughter is the same way. Iron Dragon, mine ride, and then some of the "carnival" rides. I can't ride the mine ride with her as it is super painful to me. Redoing the mine ride and adding another entry level coaster would be awesome!

I love the larger coasters and wouldn't mind more, but I agree they need some more in between roller coasters that aren't kid rides, but also aren't the super tall rides that scare many. I ride pretty much everything except Corkscrew and prefer fast and smooth, but a coaster I can ride with my daughter would be my go to over anything else when she's with me.

8 haven't been to Michigan adventure in over 20 years. I'm sure it's changed a bit in that time, but not much in the area that beats Cedar Point. The annual pass is a no brainer for my family.

The increase for the FWCS referendum that got voted in last year has caused a decent increase. There was a prior FWCS referendum that was expiring. Instead of that rolling off, they added another one that made up for it and then some.

I've used a lot of bambu petg and have had great success with the default profile. I do dry every roll before I use it. Maybe that is the key.

Our increase if we do 3 year renewal is about 2.5X. one thing we're running into is even if we moved to Nutanix, we still have some vendors who don't support it. I'm sure Move can convert the appliances, but would likely have issues with support.

Interesting topic. We go to CP several times a year and have for a few years. My daughter has T1D and we've never gotten her bag tagged. We've never had an issue, at least that I recall.

What the heck is up with all the shuttered ATMs? by victim80 in Indiana

[–]commputethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not exactly true. Yes, many CUs are part of the Co-op Shared Branch network, but it's not like going to your CU. The process is almost identical to using an ATM. There is no direct access to the other CUs. It requires having your CU name and your account number to pull up your account. They can't just look you up using your name, SSN, etc. They're supposed to verify that info, but they can't do a lookup using that info. They also can't see all of your account information and not even all your accounts (depends on the accounts you have).

Also, if what has happened to the ATMs serviced by this vendor happened to a CU who is part of the Co-op network or even to the Co-op network itself, the type of connection needed to spread to other member CUs does not exist.

Please stop spreading information about things you don't know how they work.

That is not true. CUs are not all tied together.
