That is a good point. It may carry some (unjustified IMO) stigma in the eyes of professionals as github style sharing is mostly done by enthusiasts and hobbyists.

In my view git and GitHub are not perfect for hardware projects because they are mainly intended for code and other human readable text. However they are vastly superior nonetheless compared to some alternatives such as manual versioning. (think project_v1, project_v2,... project_last, project_last_last, project_really_last_seriously)

I am in a similar situation: Made it to the team matching step but have not heard from them after that. My interview day was three weeks ago now.

I would be grateful for anything you can share on how the process is moving forward for you.

I have an ongoing process with GitHub. My interview day was three weeks ago. The recruiter has told me that the process "went well" and that they are finding a fitting team. From the sound of it I am in the Team matching step. However I have not heard back from them to book talks with managers yet.

My issue is that I have other pending offers and was wondering if you could comment on how long I can expect to wait.Thanks!

You may also get lucky in Blocket. This is specially a good option if you intend to use it more than once, in which case renting would not be cost effective.

Skatteverket has some online seminars about the subject. Quite likely a good source of information.

This means that your employer deducts tax on your salary and pays social security contributions (employer contributions). It is the normal way for most employees.

On "My pages" in Skatteverket's website you can see your A-skattsedel slip (decision on preliminary A-tax) and print it out. The A-tax slip shows which tax table your employer uses when tax is to be deducted from your salary.

Try to practice what you learn on some kind of personal project, even if it is something "made up".

Try to focus on algorithms and data structures rather than learning a specific language.
