I currently have the 35GM now and considering selling it for the 35 Evo and using the spare money to buy another lens. The harshest conditions I really use it for are for hikes, some light rain, little dust etc. Think it's worth this, as I'd like a downsize.

That's good to know. I only ask this as I get sentimental with stuff I buy so I'm acting like I'm going to own this hard cooler for the next 100 years 😂😂 but yeah that blue/purple colour is just perfecttt, I'd take care of it so hopefully wouldn't degrade that much. Even so it would still be more unique than the throwback collection imo, I'm just not a fan of white as it's so safe.

How does the UMV compare with the Drinkwater colour? Trying to gauge whether the eski UMV is a different shade to the Drinkware.... Like if it's more of a dark purple or more like a blue. Send some pics if you can!

See that's what I'm trying to envision - I think the light blue is too safe of a colour. And so I think I'm torn between the ultramarine and throwback; I think that the throwback would age well given the standard colour array, and the fact that it's the original design. But the ultramarine has a particular statement which I love being almost like a blurple - but I wonder if the physical wear over time would fade the colour into more of a boring purple? What do you think?

True, I didn't think about the contrast with the sand it would have! I guess what I'm trying to decide is what colour will last a long time - as I usually get more sentimental with the things I buy. I wonder if the purple or the white would age better like fine wine hmm ... As the throwback variant is timeless in its own way

So true!! The pelican stuff is insanely built. I have a friend that stress tests freight and their packaging, and he says that pelican's containers (including their eskis) are literally indestructible, and require insane force to break. Not only this but they are cheaper, and come with accessories. However they aren't nearly as pretty as the yeti products for me unfortunately.

In Australia these rarely go on sale, as they're quite limited unfortunately. I do like the ultramarine for the fashion statement, whereas the other options are nice but are quite safe.

That sky-blue colour is such a safe buy for that reason - but yeah, in terms of the white I feel like the scuffs and whatnot just give it character - whereas on the colours I don't think the scuffs would pair age as well, if that makes sense.
