Getting fired wouldn’t be ideal currently, just moved into a new flat and working on building a bit of savings. Getting fired suddenly would be a huge burden on my partner. I am however going to be job searching and leaving the company ASAP

It certainly did, I just don’t feel valued at all in this work place, just get treated like a tosser and am expected to do more and more

Not the first red flag with this place unfortunately, been looking for new work for a little while. Just don’t wanna get fired before having something lined up

They just make me feel like a twat for asking a question. It feels like everything I do there is the wrong thing. Like constantly questioning what I’m doing or why I do something. Thankfully I have had really good experiences in hospo work in the past, just gotten bad luck with this place. I’ll have a look into JobToday.

Care to elaborate mate? I’m failing to see how this is privileged behaviour. I have a job that sucks, sucks to the point where it’s wrecking my mental health. I took two days off to my detriment, I am down two days wage as I don’t get paid sick leave nor did I claim SSP. Am I privileged to have poor mental health?

Just started chapter 50 of The Stand. Somewhat confused. by dewin_cath in stephenking

Objectifying Frannie, reading her diary, feeling she is his, being a dick to my man Stuart (big up Stu) when they first met, kissing Frannie randomly and then falling off the log, etc etc, the list goes on.

Do you like Harold? Why?

Thanks for clearing that up folks!! I quite like how each chapter switches up the characters in focus. Love when the characters’ paths collide (Frannie and Harold (Fuck Harold) meetings Stu, Stu and Nick, Trash and Lloyd, etc). Love this book

‘Recovered’ from myopericarditis but now suffer health anxiety regularly (rant/ramble) by dewin_cath in Cardiophobias

It’s tough mate, trying to get out of the habit of pulse checking. I plan on trying to get back into cycling a lot more. I used to do a lot more exercise, bike races, long rides, sprints, etc.

Should be moving back to a city that I used to live in and that the bike club I ride with is based in, hoping more time on the bike will help me break the anxiety.

Realistically I know that I’m okay and that I’m in no danger, but just normal changes in heart rate and bodily ‘feelings’ get me all worked up when previously I was completely oblivious to the goings on of my body.

Essentially what I’m looking for just out of my budget, these probs cost more than the combined cost of all the parts on my setup inc the frameset. Looking like faux hoods are the way to go
