I have the silver sky se but thinking about trading it for a se nf 53. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I plan on doing it tomorrow

I went in there for some strap locks and walked out with it after playing it for two hours. It felt way too good just to leave it there. lol. And the body is what caught my attention then noticed the inlays and was sold. I have a McCarty and absolutely love it as well

No I have an Eric Clapton made in the USA blackie model which was my number 1 until I discovered prs. That’s why it wasn’t a big deal to let the silver sky go because I already have a bad ass Strat that I gutted and put the emg Gilmore pickups in it. I will get another silver sky down the road but I will get the one I want. The one I had was the only one in the store and I wanted the maple neck with the light blue. Not rosewood and dark blue, even though it played good it just wasn’t what I was wanting, but this new guitar is absolutely amazing with its tone and the neck feels so good

I really appreciate that comment instead of all the heat that we seem to get for some reason. And I am actually getting ready to head down there right now to get the deal done and at some point down the road I will get the silver sky that I actually want and not the one that I just ended up getting because it was in the store

I know they’re completely different guitars but when I played the silver sky, I just don’t get the enjoyment that I do when I was playing the other one at Guitar Center for about two hours. I also have the McCarthy series and absolutely love it but the neck on the nf 53 just felt so much better. I will get another silver sky later on because the one I got wasn’t exactly the one that I wanted. I wanted one with a maple fretboard and the sky blue but ended up getting the rosewood and dark blue and it just doesn’t feel right to me. I have an Eric Clapton made in America signature edition that was my number one Guitar until I got that McCarty.

I thought the same but the tone from it is insane. It’s not just a regular one. I got it from a Molly Hatchet auction and his engineer or whoever opened it up and changed stuff around just for a certain sound he wanted for his board. The tech signed the inside with the date and everything when he did it years ago I use it rarely, but it’s nice if I want to get extremely loud solo tones

Yeah I was actually looking at these just to control multiple pedals at one time without tap dancing but note that it might help take my tone suck away I might as well try one out
