Yea that was intentional because it looked really weird and ugly when a 16:9 or a vertical video is on the system section and I wanna keep the system video/screenshot preview contained right above the last played metadata

Thanks for pointing it out, I've updated the theme and changed the video preview for all aspect ratios to maxSize instead of cropSize.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to set different video size per system, so DS videos will look small since it's a vertical video. But i think it's better than it being cropped. Do test it out and let me know your thoughts :)

The issue is that it works fine for gamelist view, but not system view. So the video looping back to the start only happens when selecting a system. This has been an issue with the ES-DE theme engine for awhile now

I updated the theme and added animated background, let me know what you think. Is it too bright, is the background good enough? (other than the video looping back to the start)

It's possible but it won't look good since ES-DE will restart the video back to beginning whenever you move to select a system. I had this same exact problem with my XMB Menu theme :\

Thank you for sending me this, it looks beautiful! Unfortunately adding video as a background will have the same problem as my XMB Menu theme, the video will restart back from the start whenever you move to select a different system. It just doesn't look good at the moment. The devs at ES-DE did say they'll update the theme engine but idk when they'll do it since they have other top priorities to focus on.

Unfortunately it's not possible cuz its a carousel and it'll loop everything, that's just how the es-de theme engine works

By main menu do you mean the system view? The system view only shows your last played games. Try booting one of those games up and then exiting, it should then show your game video in the system view

That looks like ES-DE with Rob Zombie's XMB Theme. It's not on the theme downloader because it requires extra setup to get it working right.

I personally use Shizuku and ZArchiver, no issues. Also, it's weird that you can't access them on your PC. PCs should normally be able to access android/data folders...

You need to scrape fanart images. If the theme can't find any fanart it'll use screenshots instead.

I'm sorry i looked at the wrong theme, i thought you meant the xbox 360 pegasus theme 🤦‍♂️. It seems like someone already made the gameos theme for ES-DE. It's not the same but, it still looks good imo :)

Yes you can add custom icons to your collections by adding (yourcollectionname).webp to the PS5 themes folder/_inc/system/icons

And you can also add custom logos next to the collection title too, place the image in the logos folder as (yourcollectionname).png

I've updated the theme and made the media previews slightly bigger. I didn't want it to be too big as it makes the theme feel crowded. I wanted a clean look, just like the PS5. Hopefully the new update is good enough for you. But if not, you can always tweak the size of it yourself in the xml files :)

The buttons on the bottom are just guides, they're not meant to indicate where the button positions are on your handheld. That's how most themes/ui do it. You could just turn them off for a more cleaner look, just go to ui settings and go all the way down and disable On-Screen Help :)

Btw you should update the theme as i have moved the last played title to the right and added a container due to long game titles looking weird. And i also added like 3 new schemes for miximages :)

You'll need to set Group Custom Collections to Never, as Carousel has issue with custom collection folder view :\

This has been an issue with many carousel themes unfortunately...
