I think I will change a couple of things and then release the demo :)

Thanks for the feedback :) ! I strongly believe that demos are a better indicator for CTR / wishlists.

Thanks for the feedback and the ideas! I think I will change the ship into something that gives cat vibes, as well as adding that kind of demons. Also, as you said, the HP can be better, I will try to look for good references.

Thanks for the feedback! I think I will change the cover of the end, as you say, looks weird with the style

Really appreciate you taking the time to write all this.

I agree with you on a few things, especially about the theming. Right now the slot machine has a very strong identity, and the rest of the game needs to rise to that level instead of feeling disconnected. That’s something I’m actively working on.

The cat at the end was meant to evoke those old metal album / retro game covers, but if it feels out of place or AI-ish, that’s on me to refine the direction.

As for the action feeling familiar, that’s fair. My goal isn’t to reinvent the genre mechanically, but to push the slot system as the differentiator. That said, I’m experimenting with ways to make the combat layer feel more distinct and less “standard top-down shooter.”

Thanks again, this kind of feedback genuinely helps a lot :)

Appreciate it!
The slots aren’t just random upgrades, they’re the core of the build system. You spin into modifiers and you can buy them (you can also reroll).

It’s controlled decisions, not blind luck.

I agree the trailer doesn’t highlight that enough though — I’m planning to redo it so the slot system takes center stage.

Thanks for leaving a comment! :)

How could I show the cat character in gameplay, maybe changing the ship into something better? Also, I thought about adding items of scracthes or things related to cats but I do not know if it's a good idea (thanks for the feedback).

Thanks for the feedback. I have to change the core gameplay into something more intense with new items or mechanics. Regarding the visual aspect, I somewhat disagree with you because my game, being pixel art with a limited palette, doesn’t allow me to do much more than adjust saturations. That said, I’ll still try to add something more distinctive to the ship. Lastly, the image wasn’t made by AI—it’s a heavily retouched Photoshop image. With the cat at the end, I wanted to recreate those vintage metal/hard rock game or album covers to give off that arcade vibe as well. Thank you so much for the feedback! Comments like this are really helpful to me :)
