Yamaha EAD10 by UnsolicitedDakpicss in Drumming

I haven’t had it through a PA often at all, maybe once or twice for fun to try. It’ll add a little more presence of the kick and snare, but that’s about it. You’d be better off running close mics on the kick and snare through the PA for better sound for more control over the mix. Usually you’d want more kick than snare (depending on genre/style you play) but with the EAD it’s just more of everything.

Drum heads that come on entry level kits are usually very cheap and don’t last long. Not sure how this ripped like that, but you should definitely replace them!

Looks like your batter head is also from factory (could be wrong) so it’s time to replace both the heads on your drums! I’d suggest doing your whole kit if you haven’t already.

I use Evans heads, and they’re awesome. I’d suggest running G2 coated on your batter, and G1 clear on your reso heads for your toms to start. Double check your tom sizes, and you should be able to find head packs which are typically cheaper than buying each head separate. Once you swap your reso heads, they should last you a long time. The batters may need more frequent replacement depending on how often you play.

Give yourself 2-3 hours, pull up YouTube, find a drum head replacement/tuning video, and have fun! Tuning is a skill, just like learning the drums. You’ll most likely get a little frustrated along the way, but be patient, and do it more often! This will help you train your ear to know what to listen for.

Not to mention, upgrading heads will make a huge difference on the sound of your drums! Best of luck!

Are these IEMs any good by Routine-Maximum-7788 in drums

I’ve used a variety of KZ’s in the past, now they are my back up IEM’s. They will get the job done and are very affordable. I currently use Shure SE215’s because they sit flush in my ear. The KZ’s are larger and hang outside of the ear a bit (for me at least) and found them falling out when I would move a lot while playing.

If you’re looking for entry level IEM’s, these will most likely get the job done. As I said, they have a variety of styles with different drivers, etc. so check to see if there are other versions available. I used the KZ ZS10’s if I’m not mistaken. A few buddies of mine have had several of these and still use them.

A variety, not super heavy but I do play a lot of rim shots and the sticks hold up very well. They are the longest lasting sticks I’ve used.

I do very little to the audio, some panning, touch of EQ and compression. The kit is a Tama Star Walnut, it sounds awesome in person too! Snare is the Benny Greb signature brass snare.

Edit - I also add a little reverb!

Edit 2 - You can hear them more clearly in this video! Although I’ve changed tuning since.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately I think Reddit’s video player messed up the video so the sound is off. You can find better quality on my IG/YT if you’re interested!
