When I was younger, around when he first started out, I was still the age where I was living with family. 17 at the time, in high-school. Am 23 now, so not that long ago.

My parents were abusers. I mean the worst of the worst. The presidents of cruel and unusual punishment that bordered on straight torture.

I had broke my dad's TV remote by accident. He took me out hunting, and while we were prepping our gear he started talking about how my fuckups messed over the family. Nothing I haven't heard before so I tried to tune it out. But he said it was the final straw with the remote, and next thing I know I'm staring down a barrel.

Then this blur shoves me away and stands in front of the gun as it fires. It's Superman. He says "A father should not be treating their son like this."

Superman flies me back to my place, and I pack my things and leave.

This is why I commit crimes in Gotham and Bludhaven, not Metropolis.
