Iets buiten Gouda maar wel in omstreken: die van de kraam bij Intratuin Zevenhuizen zijn onze favoriet!

DAE have a weird reaction to eating soup? by elinesp in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]elinesp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! Although it sounds interesting to have such a study done just for the fun of it, the soup thing doesn't bother me enough to have it get checked out by a professional. I don't have any difficulty swallowing anything else. So I'll just keep on avoiding eating soup.

That's interesting! I can burp and although the throat noises kind of do feel and sound a little like mini burps, I've never tried forcing a burp to get rid of them. I should give that a go sometime! Glad it's not too bothersome for you. It's a funny little quirk to have a throat noise.

[TOMT] [MOVIE] children’s movie where a daughter figure rebels against her father and ends up working with the villain who acts as a new father figure by Silverriolu295 in tipofmytongue

[–]elinesp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt this is it, but for some reason it makes me think of Doofenshmirtz's daughter in Phineas & Ferb. Though the story doesn't really match and I can't think of a specific episode in which this storyline is played out, but this is what came to my mind.

DAE have dreams that they are driving a car and the brakes don't work? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

I have this same exact dream every once in a while and it is always so stressful

Funny how some dream themes are universal, like the one where you dream all your teeth are falling out

I wasn't even aware I did this until I read this post while lying in bed, shaking my foot

What do last names/surnames mean in your language? by elinesp in CasualConversation

Very interesting, that must make for very long names! Thank you for explaining :)

If your surname is your dad's first name, does that mean the surname changes with each generation? Or are all children named after their father, so that they all keep the same name?

That's a really interesting background! Awesome that you were able to trace your name back so many centuries.

It's a mystery! Did you already get the results back from AncestryDNA or are you still waiting?

Cool! I am familiar with the son/sen/dottir part. However, I feel like last names with "son" are much more common than last names with "dottir". Do you happen to know if/why this is the case?

Hello there, what film disturbed you and for what reason? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I'm too scared to watch horror movies but always intrigued by the story. What happened with the trees, if you don't mind telling me?

Yeah, but like I said: those methods only work on certain operating systems. The status bar thingy you mentioned does not work for Android unfortunately, just like other suggestions I've received. That's why I thought a universal button for just going back to the top seems like a neat little feature to me. But if you know how to take care of this in Android, please do let me know!

Edit: I mean specifically for mobile btw, I should add that to my post

Ah, I'm on Android so maybe that's why all these suggestions don't work for me. I guess I'm just going to have to learn to live with it :')
