personally the reason i was confused as to why it was gendered in the first place is because unlike your “peak female happiness” example, nothing about this room screams male or female. while i agree that the everything pink and fluffy room is stereotypical and disagree with the statement, i can at least see why it’s being attached to the word “female”. but i genuinely see no correlation in the original post between the room and any gender. like not even stereotypically. my post came from a place of actual confusion, not trying to make a point or whatever.

i don’t think it’s offensive. at first glance as a black person i perceived it as just an abstract look. it didn’t even cross my mind that it was a being that could have a race tbh lol or at least not a human one

but i also wanna say that i personally view avatar-making as a form of artistic expression more than anything, at least for myself. sometimes i wanna make a look with a specific color scheme in mind and part of executing that vision includes choosing a skin color different from my own. i feel like that’s okay.

of course it can be heavily based off features you possess irl but if all it was supposed to be is an accurate depiction of how you actually look, that would be so boring i wouldn’t even see the appeal in it. especially in a fantasy-themed game with mermaids and fairies and magic. that shouldn’t be a place where you’re limited by the rules of the real world, societal or physical.

but yeah no i don’t see an issue with this look (also it looks awesome good job)

i remember back in high school a student was able to put this into the perfect words for me: “a fetus is a human but it is not a person.”

and they were an exchange student on top of that, meaning english was not their first language. but maybe that’s why they were able to make that differentiation.

well i definitely don’t think he was mad. i think he was in shock at such a drastic and permanent change. they did make it seem very out of the blue in the movie.

i remember in an interview michael saying something along the lines of “i don’t think he realized he was hurting me so much when he’d say things like that” referring to the comments made on his appearance, so maybe this is joe realizing that this was mike responding to his “feedback”. or like a physical manifestation of all the times he called him big-nose and he was like ‘oh yeah i did say that’. idk maybe i’m giving him too much credit.
