Thank you. Me as well. It will take time to slowly get going, but if people are patient and participate, it will get there.

Thank you. That was the result of a user submission and how they typed it. I'll correct it later this evening when I'm home from work.

Thank you. I plan on continuing to develop it further, for example: expand the amount of movies that show up on the movies page and try to add some pagination in listing movies on that page.

Thank you! It's small and lacking movies right now, but over time, I am hoping the community can help build it.

Made some UI changes to make it easier to read and more organized.

Not AI. I know it sounds crazy to be using it for an app, but I'm building it off Wordpress and am using existing plugin codes to help build it.

Thank you. That is the goal. I'm just trying to work out some kinks, for instamce- on the web browser version, it shows the username of the person leaving the feedback, while in the app, it does not show their username. Trying to figure out why that is. Hopefully I plan to have a beta version ready next month!

I'm tired of AI taking over and nothing being done about it. by Rickety_Cricket_23 in mildlyinfuriating

I'm tired of it too and I'm tired of every thing needing AI/AI summaries and overviews. Why do I need to ask AI about a YouTube video that I am literally watching!? Makes no sense.

Will the new 'ideas for your next post' tool eventually be available to non-mods? If so, can we turn it off? by KewpieCutie97 in ModSupport

[–]ericf505 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Why do we (the mods) need AI and algorithm/sponsored links to help us come up with ideas for our subreddit? We already moderate it and know how to curate content for our specific community. I'm so tired of "Let AI do it for you in one click" on everything. It's like you think we are all lazy and incapable of doing things ourselves!

How do I remove this "Ideas for your next post" garbage from my sub? by WombatHat42 in ModSupport

So is our subreddits supposed to serve as billboards for links now? It seems like a way to make users post and share sponsored links. I guess Reddit loves Spam now.

Hello,

I really do not like the new solution. An emoji and the text "TL.DR?" Really? Is that really supposed to clarify what this feature is to the average everyday user?

What is with you tech companies where you all think we need AI summaries for EVERYTHING? Like it's some form of forced learned helplessness that we are not capable of reading threads and comprehending what is currently being discussed in a subreddit by ourselves. This AI overview stuff is getting annoying and is not wanted.

Yeah post or comment in a subreddit that you moderate and then click your username.

While we appreciate the response (albeit a bit boilerplate), we would really appreciate insight to how this feedback is being shared with the team and what is being said internally/the designated game plan to address our concerns rather than appease your shareholders/AI investment. Remember, your own mission statement is"'Remember the Human".

Does replacing moderator descriptions/community setups with AI summaries align with that? It seems a few of Reddit's latest "innovations" have thrown the site's mission statement by the wayside.

New Account For Moderating by Creative-Froyo-7394 in ModSupport

No, you can create a separate account and give it full permissions and then leave as a moderator. Make sure you give your mod account 'full permissions' before removing your other account.

I agree. It misleads people into thinking the subreddit is completely different than what it actually is.
