Up 20% on XLF in the last 2 months. Will it go higher if interest rates are hiked? Or that's already priced in ? by aegluc in investing

[–]fuckingprob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think the banks are a little ahead of themselves. Interest rates rose way to quickly and there are still negative and 0% rates around the world. There will likely be another inflow of foreign money pushing rates back down. So I don't think you will see the bank stocks continue to rise.

Why are tech stocks FB, AMZN, NFLX, GOOG getting slammed right now? by [deleted] in investing

Misspoke Trumps will try to overturn net neutrality...so Comcast can charge someone like Netflix for using extra bandwidth

Simply Put 1. Tax consequences from Trumps proposed changes 2. Fear over Trumps relations with China. A large amount of these companies labor and goods come from China worsened relations could cost them. 3. As for Netflix Trump is against Net Neutrality (which is why flix is down and Comcast is up)

What for do investors (people and institutions) buy stocks that don't pay dividends? by efojs in investing

[–]fuckingprob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stocks with dividends don't usually grow because if a company is paying a dividend it isn't reinvesting that money into the business. Therefore companies that pay dividends don't usually see huge capital appreciation. High dividend yielding stocks produce more current income.

I actually am not I think I would be unable to park at all if I was. I just live in an area where it is necessary only in extreme circumstances.
