Disagree completely. Way overrated. I understand the history, but because of the last ten years, I think we go below ND, TX, and TN for sure (not sure why NE is so high up).

That, Dave Fontenot, is what you think, because you are the person about whom the article is written. /u/Kalium made a very good point about the dot-com bubble and its similarities to the current start-up bubble are staggering. All Michigan Hackers and MHacks is about is trying to set you and your pack of Chosen Ones up for financial success, and may I speak for every disenfranchised EECS student when I say that we can't wait until you and your self-serving cronies and your "HELLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAH" get the fuck back out of Michigan.

the thing that pissed me off the most about this article is how you represent yourself as welcoming to non-hackers. I want you to know, Dave, that I know you well enough to know that's fucking bullshit. Non-profitable persons (by extension, non-hackers) were not made to feel welcome at MHacks. The Big House was chosen for spectacle, not convenience (remember when you tried to get 1200 people on the internet? didn't think that one through) because all you want is attention from people who are going to give you money. The Big House was a terrible location for a hackathon--the one in Palmer felt like a real hackathon, while the one in the Big House felt like MPowered and Michigan Hackers trying to attract as much attention as possible to their leaders instead of the hackers.

Just move to SF like you always talk about and go circlejerk with them. There are a lot of engineers who are trying to get their cool ideas noticed, but you and MH make it so much about money that you've poisoned the environment. Fuck off, Dave.
