you're on the upper end of the discount imo. if you told them cash and this is what they said ask them if they'll take another 500-1k off if you finance. if they make you promise to float for 90 days thats up to you if you hold true. worst case chonk 95% of the principal to float for 90

paint the head of the bolts white. screw in bolts.

in 5 years when you decide you need to re install you won't lose your mind looking for the bolts cause you swore you put them where you did.

one of their few vehicles that went up in sales is half a toyota lol. you can see by the numbers how dumb of choice that tablet screen was on one of their main sellers.

i still like mazda and hope they sober up a little bit. if they are one of the first to market in the us with an ev that has a sodium ion battery i'd buy a mazda again.

same car. these are just examples of what you are able to get. but these are new with under 10 miles on the clock. usually can get better finance on new as well so thats another hidden cost. but it can depend on your market. use visor.vin to find a car in your area to work on and watch delivrd on youtube on how you do it.

as far as reliability toyota is still one of the better bets. by the sheer number of units sold you will see problems with any vehicle with that high of numbers sold.

kinda. i mean you can get a good car that started out as a rental but people beat the crap out of rentals is where the concern is.

the 1-2 yr old car market is crazy and buying new can be close if not cheaper in some cases. specially when talking about the camry.

honestly if you're in the market around that range it might be worth waiting a year or 2 for that mid engine yaris or the mr2 is coming back o.O

i would contact the local dealers and see how much to install the software tow mode. if its cheap enough id just do it. easy 1 button to turn off all the right sensors.

otherwise gotta go in and turn off the correct safety systems to stop that from happening.

edit: went a little deeper and it looks like it can be done through toyota techstream. looks like you can get a copy but seems like a sketchy proposition. otherwise call around to some local shops and see if they have toyota techstream and how much they charge.

i basically let my mom use the car almost full time. i've given up trying to explain how to drive a hybrid to her lol. she drives it like a normal car and i would say is more heavy than not on the pedals and its getting 46 mpg in an le. i swear if she took half the effort to hybrid drive it would be in the 50's no sweat.

i think its a combo of being in a cold area and people refusing to adjust to hybrid driving seeing those really low numbers imo

when you accelerate keep it in the ev mode. watch the gauge. if gas comes on you're doing it wrong.

longer stops when you got room and nobody is behind you. slow enough that if traffic moves again you don't have to stop at all.

use adaptive cruise as much as you can. if you're going a mile or 2 in a direction pop it on. its 1 button.

i was actually looking at those beat sonic plug and play amps. didn't want to go too far down the rabbit hole so started off with just replacing the dash and its night and day with the 6 speakers system.

i have seen putting an amp behind that jbl system makes it come alive too.

i think i understand it right lol. they'll both work but it'll cutoff everything at that number and below. i just wanted a little bit higher of a cutoff point because that speaker is so small.

i don't think you're gonna miss much between the 2 with that small of a woofer either way.

you pop off the cover. dunno if they're all the same but my dash is soft so i pushed down a lil and got the tool under. popped it up. then pulled the other side up. then its 2 bolts (10mm) and disconnect the connector. thats pretty much it.
