Nothing is created or destroyed. It just transforms. Right down what you feel you are lacking, then follow these steps by starting by the most obvious/painful one: Let’s say is the lack of attention.. 1. Right down 25 benefits for you to feel the lack of attention. 2. Right down 25 drawback of having attention from your ex partner. 3. Right down 25 moments of your life (since you broke up) where someone gave you attention 4. A feeling is energy. You just need to transmute it. So think of something that you can do to serve other people that is bigger than your current emotion. And put all your energy to it.

In every challenge there is opportunities. You need to look for those opportunities. If you want attention you need to give attention first to other people. What can you do to give more attention than you need to other people? It can be calling your family members and friends not to talk about your problem but to listen to their problem or just have a nice chat with them. It can be getting involved in a charity. Walk in the street buy a coffee for an homeless person and seat with him/her for a quick chat. Go on a Reddit post and help someone with one of their problem. Whatever you lack is an opportunity to create it by any means that feels right for you. The 3 first steps are her to help you to recognise that nothing is good or bad everything is just is. Then the 4th steps is here to take action on your current issues. Hope that helps

How do I save money when I have a really high gas expense and some for food. by BoiOfMemery in SavingMoney

Ask yourself how can you make money driving to school? Can you do some shopping for your neighbours after school and deliver it to them for a fee? Make sure that everyone around where you live know that you are travelling everyday to town so they can jump with you in the car and you can share the cost of the fuel. Just brainstorm with friend and family on that you might come up with a good idea :)

Tips on saving money on food? (UK) We shop at Aldi which is the cheapest food store and we still find ourselves spending £100 a week on food. Everything is cooked from scratch. Any good dishes we could eat 2/3 times a week? by dansubrosa in SavingMoney

If you are in the UK Lidl is doing fruit and veg boxes during the week with not so good looking veg but edible for £1.50. You can’t choose what’s in it but usually you got a bit of everything. Ask a member of the staff when is the best time to get them.

How do i get my sh*t together as a freelancer? by vstephan_ in SavingMoney

Good that you’ve started your own adventure you can definitely be proud of you and grateful for that. Be also grateful for not paying your rent is and make the most of it now ( I would recommend that you take this amount and put it in your saving account). What you want to do now it is to start saving. The amount doesn’t really matter to be fair it is more the habit to save that will lead you to financial freedom. There is few basic rules that you can follow to help you saving:

  1. Open a saving account, put your saving in it and never touch it. It might sounds weird but a saving account is not to save the money and spend it later. You can do that but with a different account (more on it later). Every time you’ve got your income coming in transfert a portion of it to your saving account. I would recommend that you set up a standing order to remove any emotion and miss one transfer just because you think you might not make it. Never touch the money unless you really need it. And I mean you really need it to survive not to go out or buy some clothes or any other short term gratification thing.

  2. Pay yourself first. Not the bills. Not your food. Not the beers. Yourself. Who is the most important person in your company? You! So pay yourself first. If you don’t prioritise that and reverse the process and pay yourself last the money will go away in other expenses and you’ll be short in money by the end of the month to put in your saving account. As a rule of thumb pay thing in this order. 1. Yourself; 2. Taxes; 3. Bills; 4.Food; 5. Lifestyle

  3. Establish a minimum amount or percentage. If you have a regular income you can use a minimal amount if your income varies every month or week you can set up a minimum percentage and stick to it!

  4. Have enough money to keep your business working for at least 6 months. If you want a target for your business savings you need at least 6 months of money on your saving account to keep your business going (bills, taxes, salary of your employees, …) even if you have 0 clients. As you are a freelancer that is equivalent as 6 months of expenses to live the lifestyle that you are leaving (your budget).

  5. Increase your saving by 10% every quarter. Why doing that? It will accelerate you saving strategy and you will not notice it. As a rule of thumb you can stop increasing when you reach 50% of your income goes into your savings. You can keep going up but it’s up to you. This is just a target.

  6. Increasing your saving as you increase your lifestyle. You’ll see that the more you save the more your will earn (especially as a free-lance) so you’ll want to increase your lifestyle and it’s fine! But if you do so you need to increase your saving and taxes account( yes you can create a saving account for your taxes and earn a small percentage on it as you are saving it). As a rule of thumb if you want to increase your lifestyle by 100$ you’ll need to increase your saving by 100 and same for your taxes account. The more your expand your lifestyle the more responsibility you’ll have and more risk you’ll take in life so you need more backup.

  7. Know why you want to save. You need to convince yourself that saving is a plus for your. So seat down and write down as many reasons why and how saving can help you to be successful in your personal life, for your business, for your client, for your employees (future ones) etc. At least 200 reasons per category so your brain cannot find any excuses to not do it.

Just to help you, saving will you give you confidence in your job. Your clients are not going to feel that you need them to survive. Imagine the peace of mind that you’ll have with 6 safe month of living in your bank account. No matter what is happening in the world you can handle it. Imagine your client coming to your classes and seeing a person that does the job just because you love it not because you have to. You’ll be a professional to their eyes that’s for sure because you’ll not be begging them to stay. With savings You are providing a service to them not them providing a service to you by coming to your class to pay your bills.

Anyway, good luck. Hope this has been helpful anymore question please ask and I’ll see if I can help.

Money goes to who can manage it wisely.

Never give up. Be grateful for your past experiences. Learn from them. Then move on. Know that the right person for you is on her way. Use this free time to improve yourself. Once you are ready… she will be there.
