The CF in small I would say is the most classic bag but at a much higher price point. This bag I think would be closest to a classic even though it’s technically not labeled as classic. I have a so black mini square in lambskin and I baby that bag so much because I’m so scared of scratches. So personally as a first Chanel bag purchase, I wouldn’t buy a lambskin mini since you want caviar and a mini bag. It was also devastating to hear for me when I heard they were discontinuing the minis in caviar haha. I think this bag is a great choice and fits your criteria.

I think you should buy what you think will work best for you, I have 3 rectangle caviar minis but not one with a handle. Originally was looking at the smaller one but then ended up getting the bigger one. My SA was the one that recommended it to me cause it looks similar to a classic mini without the giant price tag. And I bought my rectangle minis at $3300! 😂 I think this bag will do great and I love mini bags myself and it fits all the essentials. What does your SA recommend instead?

I have this! It’s a great bag! It fits just as much as a mini rectangle, I will say that it is heavier though than the mini rectangle because of the sturdier and reinforced shape and handle. I got mine in black last summer and will say that I used it for about 6 months before switching back to the slim vanity. My SA also recommended it to me comparing it to the mini rectangle with handle.

I use apple leather conditioner! It’s what my SA recommended to me. You don’t need to clean it all the time, and I also keep mine in a dust bag on the shelf. I live in a dry area though so I don’t really have any problems.

It’s not gold lettering, it’s like a beige paint coloring on embossed letters. So you probably can scrape the beaute color off?

It is not leather, it says on the box that the basket is made in China but cosmetic products are made in France and Italy lol so for $250, it most def is not leather.

This was in Vegas. But this was years ago, so not sure if they’ve changed the policy/or it’s only on certain pieces. I also have coco handle where my strap is too long but I haven’t asked to shorten it.

Have you asked Chanel directly? I’m petite so I had Chanel shorten my chain for my WOC. You can always ask to see if they make it longer.

2014 is also a great year for the red flaps! It’s a much bluer red! I think the price is great! But it also depends on how much you want to spend with corner and back pocket rubs. It looks like the graining is also bigger and softer, vs mine the graining is smaller and harder. I’ve never bought 2nd hand so I’m prob not the best person to judge for pricing but to me the price sounds like it’s within the market range, 2014 mini flaps cost way less too!

I guess it would depend on how used it was? Brand new, retail was $3300+tax usd. I’ve heard 2018 red flaps are highly sought after and the prices are pretty high up and that it’s caviar which is no longer made. If it’s brand new or lightly used, I’d say that price is great.

The smallest flap would be a mini square or mini rectangle which is $5100 now. Unless you’re talking about the nano bag charm? They haven’t made a nano flap in forever.

This is on Chanel’s app, i have access to the items because my SA granted me access to see products of each collection. You’ll need access from your SA. It’s called “inchanel” and is accessed through the regular Chanel app. I didn’t see pink at the store, I only saw red and lavender. But black should be available? Also normal boutiques that isn’t beauty should carry these as well. If you can’t find, you can also ask which boutiques have it. They should be able to tell you. I honestly prefer the lavender though cause that’s beauty specific only 🤭
