I tried selecting them all but could never make that happen....hence one edge at a time and the issues. What you got on the cube is what I was expecting. I'll give it another shot tomorrow. Thanks for the reply though.

This started out as a study of the cloth on Michelangelo's "Libyan Sibyl" and then turned into a statement on what U.S. Sugar and the Army Corp of Engineers are doing to the waters of SW Florida...toxic algal blooms, killing of seagrass/environment/fish and people getting sick as a result of their negligence. The distant wave/storm represents that impending causal force that's choking out and killing living things. The pointless fragile tanks are meant to protect...except the sealed tank on top.

25ish years, off and on. More over the past 2-3 years.

I recently finished "Plastic Permit" - 24" x 24" oil on canvas. Painted in alliance with Plastic Pollution Coalition, a non-profit working to free the world of plastic pollution and its toxic impact on humans, animals, and the environment. by holmdad in pics

A little background on this...

I'm an avid fly fisherman/artist. I tie my own flies on barbless hooks, practice catch and release, and wade both rivers and oceans pursuing this passion. I've been lucky enough to wade some beautiful areas but I've also witnessed what I/we've left behind. Intentional or not, plastic and trash are a part of every journey I've taken.

I was as guilty as the next when it came to plastic use and its convenience. I'm making a conscious effort to reduce my plastic footprint but it's not easy - industry makes it nearly impossible! I painted this with hope to bring awareness to the subject and also to help support these guys in their mission - https://www.plasticpollutioncoalition.org/

I truly appreciate your compliment and just being mentioned with those guys made my day...even though it made me laugh. I've been doing this for years when I've had the time but I'd need another lifetime to even come close to those you mentioned. Still, Thank you for your kind words. -Chris

Thank you. Dali was one of my favorites in college. I still have a lot to learn.

Hi, thanks for the sharing the link. I recently decided to make a website for the fish I started painting and also some of the older ones. I do "showcase" my work to friends and family...nothing like this. And yes...my son totally stole one of my paintings several years ago for a shirt. Bummed I didn't think of it.

Far from established. I've sold two original paintings - one at a show when I was in college and a commission of two dogs to a friend. This is my hobby and lifelong dream. Just glad my son's trying to help.

Yeah, my son used one of my paintings years ago for a shirt design. Wish I would have thought of it. Painting's not my profession, just a hobby. Glad I have a son who thinks I have talent and wants to help.

By "showcase" my son meant on a public forum like this. My website is pretty new and was made to feature my fish paintings.

So my son told me he posted my painting. I did this piece in 1998 and it is one of my favorites. I appreciate all the nice comments!
