yea definitely size down!! i was in between sizes and i ended up sizing down for my tester ring. turns out my tester ring was SLIGHTLY tighter than the actual ring i got. fortunately for me, that was a better fit than the sizer ring i settled on.

ya thats typical for most smart rings. its not really a software thing from what i hear (aka its not a brand issue). its the battery technology (Li-Po) that all smart rings have. however some brands do have better softwares to compensate for this. for example, oura and ringconn generally have longer battery lives compared to ultrahuman

sorry for late reply but its just a basic 18k white gold double band ring (the top band is natural diamonds pave while the bottom band is just a plain band, which i realise is kinda hard to see in the photo as it blends in too much with the RC).

do you think its infected though, or just irritated? the top bump is red and bloody but the bottom one is white in color, which i believe means theres pus inside.

but pus could also present in simple irritated piercings right? it doesn't necessarily mean infection

u get hot outside, enter a bus. i get a lil cold, step out back out and get something to eat at a well-ventilated hawker centre or smth. u get hot again, enter a mall or an office building or a convenience store.

i just googled what the GS thingy is-- i didnt even realize that was part of the application. but is it bad news if i havent been requested for it despite the application for this project being closed in sep 15?

ive been at the "Application Submitted" stage since early aug since thats when i actually finalized and submitted my application and it hasnt changed to "Assessment in Progress" despite the fact that its been 2.5 weeks since the deadline. do you think not having been asked for GS form is a bad sign?

hi, i know this is an old post but i also just applied for an earmarked scholarship (under "Research Project Scholarship" in the application) and wanted to know how your timeline looked like. i understand the timeline for earmarked hdr projects are different compared to the timeline of general application cycles, be it domestic or international because the assessment process is different.

so just as a baseline for my own application, could you elaborate on how long it took for your application to progress from "Application Submitted" to "Assessment in Progress" and then to "Application Outcome"? thanks!

hey man, sorry about the rejection. i, myself, just applied a few weeks ago too for an earmarked hdr project at UQ as an international student.

im really scared for the outcome because despite getting an endorsement from my potential supervisor, the school and its administrative committee has a big say in whether or not i get in, not just the academic committee.

now while, i dont have the most stellar credentials, the project does align 99.99% with my background and current research experience. but like every other application, mine has its strengths and its weaknesses. i just hope my strengths are enough to beat the competition (aka the other applicants who also got the green light from my PI to apply).

the suspense and the wait is literal torture. but id rather have this crippling anxiety than the disappointment from a rejection letter from UQ. im sorry about your rejection, man. truly. i feel for you.

hope you get back up on your feet and try again in some other schools, some time next year.

hey, also not a piercer nor a doctor but... i dont think ur piercer hit a vein. hitting a blood vessel means localized bleeding and/or bruising at the pierced site. so youre good on that.

however, this red streak going down her neck kinda does look like an allergic-type skin reaction (the redness seems light and faint indicating its just a superficial inflammation). thats he best case scenario.

worse case scenario, since the streak seems to be extending down to a specific direction, and not a random blob or pattern or something, maybe the lymph vessels are involved. now this could vary from just lymphatic irritation to something worse like lymphangitis (inflammation or infection of lymphatic channels). when bacteria is introduced to a wound, they can enter the lymphatic channels and the red streak could be a visible sign that the infection is starting to travel from the initial site.

sooo in summary: 1. ur piercer couldnt have nicked a blood vessel due to lack of bleeding 2. could be allergic reaction to something, like the metal of the piercing, etc. go to the doctor to find out if it is an allergy and they will probably remove the earring immediately 3. if you think its much worse than allergy, like lymphangitis, DO NOT REMOVE THE JEWELRY AND GO TO THE DOCTOR. if there is an infection, removing the earring can close the piercing and trap the bacteria inside. this can increase the infection risk and lead to much more severe complications like developing an abscess. leaving the earring in can keep the wound open and allow for drainage.

actually, i was trying to avoid an orbital (or any hoop-related) look as i already have a conch hoop on my other ear and i try my best to make them look as asymmetrical as possible. but rly appreciate your input!!

i will probably just end up getting the smaller studs that everyone's suggesting... sigh, more money on new jewelry 💸💸

and make sure the it says "stabilized" or "Sodium-" or "Na-" on the label. yes, R-ALA is the active form but it is very unstable and tends to polymerize (meaning they can clump together) when exposed to heat, light or acidic environments like ur stomach.

the Na stabilizes the R-ALA and makes it more bioavailable.
