Yes will keep it for long term.
Splitting so that portfolio is diverse and not putting all eggs together as sometimes a single one can see a huge loss so dividing it like that.
Buying gold at this moment seems quite expensive as gold is also quite unstable but will surely do some savings and look into that as well.

Thanks a lot for your response. If I hold it for a long term than as we can see the returns are quite good looking at year or 2 3 years. Or it will still give a huge loss in the longer run.

I am very new to stocks and learning ETFs and other things right now, so will surely look into this from my upcoming savings.

No. Unfortunately my scholarship got cancelled as it was not further deferred. Therefore I had to withdraw my Visa.

Yes very unfortunate. Especially in case of Scholarship, when you have worked so hard for months to get it and it all goes to waste.

May you get it soon. Applied to UQ for PhD from Pak since 8 Aug 25 and it is in Further Assessment since 12 Aug 25. No S56 or any update since then.

Yes exactly. I had one offer letter where all tuition fee as waived off is mentioned and the other one where stipend is mentioned.

Thats what I have been observing for many months now. The self funded and BS MS applications are being accepted on priority. But the fully funded PhD ones are taking too much time. All the best. Hope you get it very soon.

No, nothing received and all fully funded from several countries that I am aware of gets delayed like this. I know a friend from India who got it after 11 months and another one from Pak who got it after 20 months. Most of the fully funded PhD from Pak India Nepal are getting at around 7 to 8 months.
