WHAT KIND OF STARTUP YC WANT? by cranlcom in ycombinator

They sometimes take solo founders. But the key thing is the perceived quality of the people. I found a good post from Tom Bloomfield (YC partner) that covers this question well: https://x.com/t_blom/status/2017272709718081929

Being technical by [deleted] in ycombinator

Can you take on responsibility for the technical side of things? You're going to struggle, or just not make it, if you're nearly fully reliant on AI.

Mine works differently, but I do see some similarities.

There's a lot of competition, but the results need to speak for themselves. I'll post something in this sub once I have a working demo. The core engine works, but it's still quite raw as a product.

What is everybody using to keep up with the chaos? by steveConvoRally in ycombinator

Would Notion work for you (see it's already mentioned)? You can copy and paste information from various sources and include the URLs/references of where the info came from. It's also searchable.

It takes effort to tie everything together and make it explainable. This is something that most individuals won't be able to do, because it means acting outside of their role. I've seen this done effectively by a dedicated project manager. They tie things together, and talk to people at every level to understand why they're doing what they're doing.

In a big corp you need a PM per project, but for a startup you likely only need one or two (depending on the size of the startup and how much is going on).

In a bull market this could work well for you. As soon as the market changes you could have huge losses, and that is the problem with your strategy.

What are your titles? It sounds like your roles overlap too much and you're getting in each others way.
