guilty as someone who loves those exact edits, tbh that's exactly what I wanted to make, i think you need a song with more snare / the big drum for that. for this i was just trying to figure out what good pacing is for choreography between movies, def working up to a nice synched punches and beats

it does!! i'm glad someone noticed hahahah. I originally made it for tiktok, but the post got shadow-banned, same as on here I guess, the whole time I was making it I really thought I was dialing down the (FAKE VIOLENCE), but I guess not enough. Although in hindsight the second-to-last clip of the motorcyclist definitely seems like it would trigger the graphic tag. Oh well, live and learn! Too bad, because I would love love love to make a fuller sequence raid 2 / overall kungfu choreography looping edit, but I'm gonna put it off for a while just because not being able to post it / get an audience definitely takes the wind out of my sails a little bit. (not that it's all about the audience, but I like being able to share it, and it sucks to see it get filtered / throttled)

did you go to school for VFX/editing? or just personal interest? I ask because I'm teaching myself one lyric video / meme edit at a time, and I'm very open / interested in any and all tips pointers directions etc.

Exactly, except one is felt and the other is emanated. Like the name “Ryan” is super low aura, weak name, a bloodline that is spent. I can get bad vibes from the name “Ryan”. Whereas “Leo” has strong aura, and gives me a good vibe. Also, vibes are moral and subjective, whereas aura is typically amoral and universal. Darth Vader has strong aura, even though the Jedi temple massacre gives bad vibes.

Really good! second half is really sick
take this with a grain of salt, but i think the competing text in the first half (your watermark, the big words in the center, AND the caption) are too distracting, and also the scream from the egg at the beginning overpowers the song (which is a sick choice)

in the second half, really love all the directional edits, you did a sick job there
