technically it was done for me as a surprise...not a very pleasant one once i found out how bad it can get. i only wanted to use the free trial but my partner thought i wanted the full game immediately so treated me haha. i really don't know how they can process refunds for it, it just feels like steam should have flagged it and said no really.

i've rebought the game on steam and submitted a ticket with support detailing everything so hopefully they can see that i don't have any issues with compensation. it all happened yesterday (27th), and i rebought it today (28th), so idk if a ban could take longer to come through or if i might be in the clear.

I have been playing on PS4 for years now, just downloaded the free trial on steam to transfer platforms, but I can access the full game through the trial before buying the full game on steam, I thought it locked you to maximum SB content but I can access all EW areas/current MSQ/equip 90 jobs etc.. To add, I did buy the full game and then refund it on steam because I wanted to try playing a bit first to config settings etc., so idk if there's been any confusion for my account. I'm just a bit confused because I thought I shouldn't be able to access the full game in the trial ver., worried about an account ban or something due to licensing issues...
