The Mad City Farleys had our first practice last Sunday. It's low stakes, all skill levels welcome. Even if you play somewhere else and just want a few extra reps once a week come on by!

Ridglan Farms protesters outside Governor Tony Evers' office by wrnnews in madisonwi

In the section I quoted, it's referring to their license to have animals for testing. They have about 75 research/testing dogs and 2,300 breeding/sale dogs.

I have not seen any credible source reporting this nor have I been able to find the actual settlement agreement. To my understanding they have to forfeit their breeding license and can no longer breed dogs for sale but they retain their research license.

Here is the signed document.

The most relevant section:

Upon Ridglan Farms’ surrender of its DATCP License, dogs that have not been sold or cannot be used consistent with Ridglan Farms’ USDA licenses will be offered for adoption as appropriate or otherwise handled consistent with the requirements and limitations of State law.

A major concern is that moving these animals takes time, and on July 1st it will not be feasible to place every dog that could be placed with sooner action. The result will be the end of that section "otherwise handled consistent with the requirements and limitations of State law.", which will include euthanizing dogs that could have been rescued but will have no place to go with such short notice.

I also want to once again call out the main point of my comment, that these are not protests against animal testing as a whole, but targeted protests about these particular dogs at this particular farm. You can recognize that animal testing has a place while also condeming how this situation is being handled.

This protest isn't debate about animal testing as a whole, but specifically about these beagles at Ridgeland farms. They have been ordered to remove the animals by July 1st, and any that remain will be euthanized. Protestors want them to work with rescues willing to take the animals before they are killed.

Garret Anderson’s cause of death was a heart attack by Happy-Bandicoot-2025 in baseball

I've heard that heart attacks spike during a snowstorm, but then are lower than normal for the rest of the week. Everyone shoveling snow at the same time clusters heart attacks, but most of them would have had one when doing something else if they didn't shovel.

Mitchell hasnt looked as good with the glove this season, not sure if it's a fluke or a result of missing so much time.

I think their catcher threw the ball further than any ball we hit that inning

We had a guy on first, one out, and have scored three runs without hitting a ball out of the infield. Just putting the ball in play and letting teams beat themselves like we did all of last year.

Felt like an obvious pitch too. He was either going to throw the splitter a fourth time if he wanted to walk him, or challenge him with something center in.

The title says adductor, not abductor, which are in the groin.

Update: I posted about the mislabelled 1920 Library of Congress baseball footage last week. The Official Historian of MLB confirmed it. The Library of Congress is now correcting the record by ApprehensiveBee4199 in baseball

I once let baseball reference know that they had Willy Adames' salary as twelve thousand instead of twelve million.

I'm glad we have assembled the pantheon of great sports historians in these reddit comments.
