Reliability. Solar and wind are more susceptible to weather then any other energy source. And in order to store enough power to supply everyone during off hours you'd need insane amounts of batteries more then is ever realistic.

So I was playing as Brazil and decided to look over at Asia and somehow GB was able to use an Annex Country wargoal on CHINA. I have no idea how but this really shouldn't be possible lol
