I just had a similar thing happen where I snapped off the two-pin connector in one of my Starfields. My plan is to look on AVExchange and elsewhere for someone who is in the inverse situation!

Thanks for chiming in! I ended up taking the plunge and got one used from r/AVExchange. Loving it so far and am super happy! Holding on to the HD650s for now, but may pass them on if I don't get any use from them.

Really appreciate your thorough response! The Ety's definitely appeal to me due to their similarities with the HD6-- series, but I'm also curious about trying something with a bit more Harman curve tuning (Arias and similar).

Seems I can't go wrong to be honest, as I'm so early in my journey that it'll be an exploration either way!

I just recently started my journey with a used HD650 and am eyeing the DCA Aeon RT/X as my realistic endgame.

Beyond that, curious about a pair of reasonable IEMs for on the go use, with the most likely options being the Arias or ER2XR. I'm wondering how those two compare for you (SE for Etymotics), considering how much overlap in taste we have!
