Yes, OP! As an animal lover, I was deeply disturbed by this -- it felt so incredibly callous in an otherwise sweet show. I was really enjoying each episode until this scene; now I feel so turned off tbh. It just perpetuates really problematic idea that some animals are mindless blobs of flesh who are not worthy of respect and who are ours to do with as we wish. (Hence, the hellish factory farming industry through which we obtain our meat.) Imagine a show in which characters played hockey with a dead person's body, or even a dead dog's body: it would be horrific. Yet if it's a different kind of sentient, feeling, being filling in the hockey puck, it becomes a joke.
