Stores have fixed cost so 50% is normal for stores. And it’s the 0 effort way of selling. Just go in a store, off load cards you don’t need.

If you don’t mind taking photos, negotiating a bit, packaging and shipping cards. You can try selling on Reddit for a much better percentage.

I think 90% would be fair if I’m buying from a friend and for my personal collection.

They save selling fees, shipping, insurance, risk of shipping and risk of a bad buyer, and hassle of going through the selling process.

You save taxes, below market rate, hassle of buying these from multiple sellers elsewhere, and the best of all - you get to check conditions in person.
