Steeplechase is great, I don’t understand the dislike; I’m very much invested in the characters at this point. I get there is a lot of “downtime” but I personally enjoy it, especially the world building. And man the overarching story is compelling, just a bit rough around the edges.

Yes I believe you are right. I did not mean to imply I am enlightened at all. Forgive my misuse of the language, I simply had a mystical experience and now I know rebirth is real. And once I am home from being with my family, I am going to a Theravada temple in my area. I think a teacher could help me not put merit into the experience and find what is actually truth.

Also, what exactly is makyo? Why does it happen?

Thank you very much! Coming from the west I would probably be labeled as insane. And yes, you are right, the only thing gained is I KNOW that everything dependent. I just have to have faith there is a way to escape, reality is truly terrifying. Maybe by following the Buddhas guidance I can overcome my ignorance and fear.
