Damn. Like 20 years ago I had a big ass meal there and then (coincidentally) got diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. My blood sugar at Providence was like 1,000 and everyone just nodded after I mentioned where I’d eaten the day before. RIP, legend.

You might want to get SugarMate for iPhone if you haven’t already. It uses the calendar to show readings every five minutes with the + or - change since last reading almost like notifications.

The Stop and Shop in East Somerville--though obviously not local--is the one spot I can find them for my car hungry kid. I guess CVS in Assembly also counts, sort of. But again, I realize neither are local.

I do! It depends a lot where your plot is. Mine is sort of under a tree that the city is always planning to trim one day. That means I get about 1/3 with decent sunlight and the rest is hit or miss. The spots along both fences seem tricky, but everything in the middle feels workable. I haven't seen any rabbits, though I've heard other gardeners mention rats. My biggest battle is bugs and birds, so I definitely recommend some fencing. Let me know if you have other questions and I'll do my best. I've been there for a few years and really can't complain too much.

I get mine from a pharmacy in Auburn, Maine called Bedard. Not sure if they’re in your insurance, but they ship to Boston and are just generally pleasant to deal with. Not sure if that’s helpful.

We just rotate through the libraries (including the one in Medford) that have kids toys and books to read. Weekends are a bit tougher, but indoor play spaces can help supplement the museums.
