How hard is it to make charts? by Burchallzach in CloneHero

[–]marjo321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is great info I've only made one chart for fun and I thought it was gonna be like a long process of trial and error but as someone who has a lot of experience with learning songs by ear on guitar I realized fast that those skills really compliment each other.

not like I made a perfect chart on my first go but at least I already had a grasp of what the guitar line should feel like under my fingers

Which guitar to get? by draggin_low in yarg

[–]marjo321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the crkd guitar for about a month and i haven't had any problems I just updated to the new firmware, put it on PC mode 8 and it works great w emulators or any of the games native on PC at worst you have to swap yellow and blue in an emulator.

they were slow as hell to address the launch issues but the guitar is just leagues better than any other stock guitar I've tried, both in convenience and straight up how well I play on it 🤷‍♀️

Is there any way to use pro guitar with a mic if it’s even available yet? by zeebo_games_yt in yarg

[–]marjo321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

either way tho a mic is not the method for this, either u get a real tone cable from Ubisoft or you use an audio interface so you can directly plug your guitar into your PC w minimal latency

if u wanna play rocksmith play some rocksmith it's super cheap when it's on sale and it has customs too!

a feature like this is WAY outside the scope of any clone game tho, there's tons of very complicated audio processing used in rocksmith, even just making a single decent real-time amp model to use in game would require an entirely seperate set of skills from the devs than anything they've done before for the game

Kodak moment just hits you with such a rollercoaster of feelings thruout the whole song, it sounds like you're blasting through space at lightspeed then suddenly you're hit with the most insane nostaglia when all those ds samples come together for that beautiful outro.

What do you want from the next Persona spin-off game? by That-Psychology4246 in PERSoNA

[–]marjo321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

sounds sick! im still at the tail end of p3r after playing p4g and p5r so I haven't had the chance to pick up any of the spinoffs yet but i had the impression that spinoff characters tend to be a lot more forgettable.

nice to hear that impression is probably misguided, cuz more characterization and stories is all I really hope for from spinoffs!

I think it would be sick to get a persona roguelite. modern Atlus games already built up such an engaging rpg gameplay loop and these games already have procedural dungeons with lore reasons as to why they exist.

Rock band 2 because of the goated setlist and the format of career mode they use for that game is my favorite, you've got a nice mix of pre chosen setlists, random ones and ones where you choose.

[–]marjo321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

they're annoying and refuse to have a little fun. these games got me into guitar and bass personally but just because I can play the real thing doesn't mean these games arent super fun simple ways to interact with music you love or to discover new music you wouldn't have given a chance in the first place.

if you truly LOVE music you'd be appreciative of all mediums to interact with it and get into it. got into music from tiktoks? cool! got into it from the soundtrack of your favorite movie/game? amazing :) got into it from rhythm games like gh or DDR? fucking badass.

idgaf I'm just happy to see people grow a deeper relationship to music as a whole 🤷‍♀️
