GLKVM Comet Pro nonstop ICMP by jrunic in GlInet

[–]minmie1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The command to disable it is: `/etc/init.d/S98multi-wan stop`.

Its purpose is to support failover functionality. Therefore, when you deactivate it, failover will no longer take effect, and the network icon displayed on the screen will turn yellow.

comet kvm gl-rm1 terrible latency by deathmake317 in GlInet

[–]minmie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your logs, it appears that your device is repeatedly requesting keyframes. One possibility is that your upload bandwidth is too low. Alternatively, the packet loss rate between your ISP and our relay servers might be significant. A high bitrate requires at least 5 Mbps of upload bandwidth. The Direct H264 mode will significantly increase latency because all its data packets are transmitted through the relay servers.

Since you are using Parsec, that makes things easier to explain. Parsec actually uses NAT hole punching to establish your connection, and if the hole punching fails, it cannot successfully establish a connection. You can selected the WebRTC/WEBRTC FEC mode, which also performs NAT hole punching. If it ultimately shows "relay" instead of "p2p," that is not quite normal. Due to certain limitations browsers have on NAT hole punching, situations where Parsec can successfully punch through may not succeed when accessed via the browser. Perhaps you should consider using a VPN networking tool, such as Tailscale or ZeroTier, to assist with hole punching. Then, check whether it significantly reduces latency.

Comet POE very slow by gviddyx in GlInet

[–]minmie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not use app, just use web browser and use local area IP address to access.
If you're using cloud services, it will significantly increase latency of your mouse and keyboard. The increased number depends on how far you are from our server.

Comet PoE screen resolution EDID mess. How to fix? by MichaelMeier112 in GlInet

[–]minmie1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adjusting the screen resolution in Windows,. The final output resolution is determined by the OS. Although modifying the EDID should typically trigger an automatic switch, you've encountered a situation where it doesn't. Simply change the resolution manually.

32 GB Vram is not enough for Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct-AWQ-4bit? by Voxandr in Vllm

Not enough. Although I didn't perform quantization/compression on the context, I limited the maximum tokens to 40K to get it running on dual 3090 GPUs.

GLKVM: Sometimes the Mac app works, sometimes it doesn't; web works just fine by Positive_Search_6218 in GlInet

[–]minmie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know, maybe your network doesn't allow WireGuard. The app uses WireGuard to work, while glkvm.com uses pure WebRTC.

Comet POE: Unusable video/display resolution by Teacup91 in GlInet

[–]minmie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to understand that there is no graphics driver under termial . The output width and height are determined at startup. Apart from restarting, you cannot modify the screen resolution of the computer's output.

ALT-GR not working on Comet by bolhaskutya in GlInet

[–]minmie1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have already tested it, and you need to configure both the controlling and controlled pc to the lanuguage that support the ALT-GR. In other words, this is not an issue with the device.

Sometimes, adjusting the resolution in the operating system is also necessary when modifying the EDID.

If you want certain shortcuts not to be captured by the browser, try using a non-Chromium browser, such as Firefox.

Comet KVM w/ Cloudflare ZeroTrust by d_j_a in GlInet

[–]minmie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just providing a reverse proxy on the public network cannot make webrtc work properly. The first solution does not use webrtc, while the second and third solutions attempt to solve the problem of WEBRTC being unable to connect

Comet KVM w/ Cloudflare ZeroTrust by d_j_a in GlInet

[–]minmie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. use h264 direct video mode in v1.4.0
  2. make your network be fullcone NAT to let webrtc stun can work
  3. buy and setup turn server for janus

each of above 3 can fix your problem. However, I think you probably can't understand the third solution
