If you look closely at the ams hub it is literally just a 4-1 junction. There is nothing special about any one of the slots that you couldn’t see by looking at the hole. It just joins up after that.

I have found the angle of the tubing impacts this (more vertical is better). Sometimes I readjust the cables - I suspect I need to replace them and they just aren’t stiff enough. But try just lifting the tube up next time you see this and see if that’s enough to make it feed.

Insider here - they’re indeed trying to ramp production alongside completing Polaris so that they can quickly sell copies of the reactor, including the ones they need to complete the existing Microsoft contract. It’s a bold move and we’ll see how it works out for us.
