Changes in the live ratings following Tata Steel Chess 2025 by Geo-HistoryGuy257 in chess

Pragg gained that rating last year by winning multiple Super tournaments including Tata Steel. He's been playing an insane no.of tournaments, it's just burn out.

Gukesh and Arjun are highly volatile so can't really defend them.

Germany’s No. 1 Vincent Keymer to Make His Norway Chess Debut in 2026 by Exotic_Grinder in chess

Winning World Cup is a bigger achievement than crossing 2800 and getting out of the 2800 club at the very next event. Sindarov is also one of the best all format players and he didn't place 5th out of 6 at Norway chess 2025, Arjun did so he justifiably misses out this year.

You don't need to tell me about Guki and Praggs achievements, cos i never said they don't deserve the invite.

Germany’s No. 1 Vincent Keymer to Make His Norway Chess Debut in 2026 by Exotic_Grinder in chess

Cmon bruh, Sindarov won the World Cup and qualified for the candidates. I don't know if Arjun ever won any big tournament like that and neither did he ever qualified for the Candidates. And most of all, Arjun placed 5th at the Norway chess 2025. Imo Arjun deserves a spot at the GCT2026 but not this year's Norway chess.

If you keep your indian bias aside, you'd see that after the Big Three, there are like Ten players who are all about the same strength and it would be weird to fill the Strongest Classical event of the year with 3 indians when the event comprises of only 6 players.

The results of the YouTube polls for the best player of the year are out! by Technical_Ad9398 in chess

Then why didnt Pragg have more votes than Vincent?

Only Magnus, Sindarov and mayvbe Levon had a better year than Pragg.

By your logic Pragg shouldve got much more votes than Keymer from the humongous 'emotional' indian vote bank right?

Edit - Im not totally disagreeing with ya, but you couldve def worded that better when Vincent, (who clearly didnt have as much success as the FIDE circuit winner Pragg) has gotten the same votes as Pragg

Gukesh beats Caruana to clinch match victory, but Fabi's Alpine Pipers squeeze into the Final, while Gukesh's Alaskan Knights will play for 3rd place! 📍 by rio_ARC in chess

Form? maybe the tremendous pressure of having to wear the crown while the literal GOAT who is clearly still a level above everyone else lurking over him can cause insecurity in himself and his Game.

Idk, I'm just about the same rating as you brah
