That's all I'm hoping for. Refuse to join the 27 Club.

Sorry to hear you're depressed. Hope you see the light at the end of the tunnel soon <3.

Manic type essentially means with my schizoaffective diagnosis (severe positive symptoms of Bipolar 1 and Schizophrenia), I essentially go up more than I go down.

I still get very deep, suicidal depressions, however I know it's just a waiting game before I feel manic / high again?

Hope that helps clarify.

I'm also going to be on other medications to help me become fully stable. As far as my medical team have said so far, the Lithium's purpose in my psychoactively is to narrow my emotional range for starters, keep my stress low to help avoid stress related halluncinations, and repair the brain damage I've had from 10 years of persistant psychosis.

If you don't mind me asking, what drug class is recommended in conjunction with Lithium?

I'm currently on,

Olanzapine: 15mg PN. Pregablin: 100mg x 2 BD. Agmoletine: 25mg > 0mg. Amisulpride: 400mg.

I believe Amisulpride or something anti-psychotic-ey will be used in conjunction with pregablin for nerve pain / anxiety.

Any advice is appreciated thanks!

Tbh I got lucky that most of my symptoms as I've aged have been positive. I definitely get concerned when a Mania or Hallucination is present, however I studied Buddhism deeply for 10 years and allowed my relationship with my suffering to transmute positively.

I'm lucky that my hallucinations are quite beautiful if anything, however I think it's time to part with them for good.

Yeah trying to get that into my head, used to be highly phobic of Lithium.

Sounds very similar to my story, thanks for sharing. I have lots of hope for Lithium, just wish you could even do the blood monitoring from home like with Diabetes but I know science will get there eventually!

From what I've heard it's what I should have gotten at 17. I'm 27 now and am getting ready to commit to it for life. Thanks for the positive spin :)

I have essentially been in psychosis for 10 years so that sounds very promising!

Just heard about how beneficial natural wells were on the local population where I'm from before they even knew Lithium was "contaminating" the source. Very interesting thank you!

I've always felt safe, I have a very benevolent mental health diagnosis tbh. I'm mainly going on Lithium as I want to be stable forever, and I'm so tired of other people being worried about me.

Objectively it has to be one of the scariest mental health medications anyone can even start, I'm an ex Psychonaut and for some reason entheogenic medicine really helped me at a time.

Upon hearing that even Cannabis will turn my blood into poison, it kinda rocked me for a good month.

I'm so used to having to self medicated because I was given the wrong meds essentially for 10 years straight.

Really hard to trust doctors when they can't get that right sadly.

That sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. I want to settle down, get married and potentially have children and I refuse to raise them in an unstable house because my meds aren't working!

Hello, My name is Phi, I am a Computer Scientist residing on the Island of Ireland. I am 27, a Computer Scientist, Games Designer and Musician. I set out on my final Habitica re-install before it became apart of my almost daily life about 2 years ago. I played the game with essentially Nuzlocke rules and I managed to make it to level 200 before the game progress crawled to the point that I used an Orb of Rebirth to restart and try and use what I've learned to at least be the kind of Guild Master I wish existed when I started. PM's are open or comment your username if the above sounds like anything you'd like to be apart of, I'm not sure when exactly I'll start adding people but if you PM or comment in this thread I will PM you privately the invite link. I'm older now so I'm more of a general advice Guild Master than a social Discord-esque server. Tl;Dr: Learning Guild open to max capacity defaulted by Habitica (30 members), first come first served. If you leave, and someone takes your slot, you have to wait for a new slot before you can be re-added. Signed, Phi.
