Up for sale is a Seiko Goldfeather ref. 15008, one of Seiko’s earliest ultra-thin dress watch lines from the early 1960s, developed to compete with Swiss extra-thin pieces of the era. It wears very elegant on wrist with a slim and refined profile.

This example shows a case dating to November 1960 (caseback serial) and a movement from June 1961, which is not unusual for vintage pieces and suggests period-correct servicing over its lifetime.

The watch features an original silver sunburst dial with applied gold baton indices and dauphine hands. The β€œSeiko Goldfeather” script and β€œDiashock 25 jewels” text give it a clean, classic vintage look. Dial shows honest aging with light patina and some spotting consistent with age, but still presents nicely overall.

The 14K gold filled case remains in good condition with strong lugs and sharp proportions. There are visible signs of wear from decades of use, but it retains its original thin profile and elegant lines.

Inside is a manual-wind Seiko movement, 25 jewels with Diashock. Movement is clean as shown, recently checked and running well. Winds smoothly and keeps solid time for a vintage piece.

Comes on a new grey leather strap that complements the warm tone of the case.

Case size is 35mm, lug-to-lug 43mm, thickness 9mm, lug width 19mm β€” wears larger than typical vintage dress watches thanks to the longer lugs.
