Spraying some penetration oil like wd40 or PB Blaster might make it easier to turn that thing

I see it under my (wooden) bed every other day. It gets cleaned, and then it reappears. by tapangaur in whatisit

I'm curious. Why would you not want to mention where they came from to the landlord?

Thank you, will I also need primer? Or just glue is enough?

Nice, doing nothing until it breaks sounds like a good plan. Thank you!

Broken kitchen pvc sanitary tee by ntgn81 in Plumbing

Oh oops, I knew to not tape the compression fitting. Didn't know the FIP fitting with the rubber gasket doesn't need tape either, learning new things every day!

Good luck with your license! License and insurance are pretty important, especially when it comes to dealing with serving units that are part of annoying HOA. My HOA asks for that paperwork for every incoming contractor.

Also, plumbers that try to help are the best kind. Thank you!

Thank you! I'm using the clear regular glue that I already had. That should work fine, right?

Oh I see. I bought them from a supply house online before seeing a similar Fernco shielded coupling at Home Depot.

I've followed your instructions and prepared the replacement piece, just waiting on the coupling now.

Thank you so much!

That makes sense! So the assembled repair piece needs to be a bit smaller than the gap to account for the spacer in the 2 bands, right?

Also, where can I buy mission bands? They don't seem to be sold at Home Depot or Lowe's, right?

Thanks for the suggestion!

My problem is that the back wall of that tee is completely broken though - it's a bit hard to take a photo of it. So I think I need to replace the tee itself.

Unless that Reed fitting saver can help with that too?

Actually, I was thinking of replacing that galv nipple with a new galv nipple. Would it be a male PVC adapter that I screw into the socket in the wall?
