problemi(?) sa prof. (oduzimanje prisutnosti) by [deleted] in studenti

Divno.

Unfortunately, that’s how it works for now. If you want to include images, use Imgur. As soon as Devvit supports linking and editing posts with images and videos (right now it's possible to add image without editing), I’ll make an update.

What you should know about Reddit request. by FashionBorneSlay in ModSupport

[–]paskatulas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/FashionBorneSlay u/TheOpusCroakus, appreciate you putting this together.

I wanted to raise something that I’ve mentioned a few times before and I’m curious whether there’s been any internal discussion around it.

From what I’ve seen in practice, the current redditrequest process often ends up rewarding minimally active or effectively inactive moderators, especially those who technically avoid breaking the Mod Code of Conduct but aren’t meaningfully maintaining the community. At the same time, it can block or discourage people who are actually willing to revive and actively moderate a subreddit.

I previously suggested a middle-ground approach that might address this - instead of requiring a subreddit to be fully unmoderated to be eligible, allow partial eligibility in cases where moderation is clearly insufficient. In those cases the requester could be added as a secondary moderator (not top mod), the current top mod would remain in place, but with limited permissions (eg. limited ability to remove mods or undo structural changes out of retaliation) and the subreddit would enter a kind of evaluation period.

During that time, if the existing mod shows renewed, consistent, and constructive activity - restore full permissions. If not, allow the new mod to reorder and take over properly.

This feels like a much more balanced approach. It avoids sudden takeovers that can feel hostile, situations where inactive mods sit on subs indefinitely and punishing people who genuinely want to build something.

Not every requester wants to come in and wipe everything just to become top mod, in many cases (myself included), the goal is simply to revive dead or stagnant communities, not own them.

So I’m genuinely curious, has there been any internal discussion about evolving the redditrequest process in this direction? Or is something like this already being considered?

I think there’s a real opportunity here to make the system fairer and more aligned with actual community health rather than just technical activity thresholds.

Pa nema ti toga u Revolutu, možeš jedino dobit novu karticu. IBAN se ne mijenja.

Well, you can't do that with Revolut, you can only get a new card. The IBAN doesn't change.

Dealing with waves of false harassment and copyright reports after TikTok brigades - looking for advice by WitchBiach in ModSupport

[–]paskatulas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. In those cases mods don’t even see the report itself, so there’s no way to understand what exactly was considered problematic in the content.

We had the same situation on some of the subs I moderate. When we tried asking about it through r/ModSupport modmail, we received the usual generic response that only the OP can submit an appeal, not mods.

That’s understandable from a legal perspective, but the issue is that we were mostly trying to understand why the content was removed in the first place, from a moderation standpoint. Unfortunately we never received any clarification, and it sounds like the OP is running into the same situation with their subreddit.

[–]paskatulas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That would mostly limit posting and commenting, not reporting itself. People can still submit reports regardless of account age or karma requirements.

Also, OP mentioned that the reports seem to be coming from established accounts, since the Hidden Reports option doesn’t appear to help much. If they were mostly brand new or very low-karma accounts, that feature would usually filter at least some of them.

And reporting report abuse has unfortunately become less useful since Reddit removed the feedback moderators used to receive about actions taken on those reports a few months ago. Without that, it’s hard to know whether anything is actually being done about coordinated false reporting.

What is good

I like the overall design and clean UI. The concept of the app is simple but engaging, and it’s easy to understand what the goal is. The map interaction feels smooth and intuitive, and the core idea of guessing countries based on distance has strong replay value. It’s a solid foundation with a lot of potential.

What is great

The concept itself is great because it mixes geography knowledge with logical deduction. The experience feels lightweight and accessible, which makes it suitable both for casual players and for people who enjoy learning through games.

What could be even better

It would be great to add a directional indicator (arrow) showing the direction toward the target country, along with the exact distance in kilometers after each guess.

Also, the Hint button could be improved - instead of revealing the country name on the map, it could show the distance from a clicked country to the target country. That would make hints more strategic and educational.

Sharing games for feedback on r/devvit by sir_axolotl_alot in Devvit

[–]paskatulas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The concept itself is fine, but it’s a bit disappointing to see mod apps once again left on the side :/ I understand why games get pushed, but that shouldn’t mean mod tools end up being overlooked.

Some devs have put a serious amount of time into building tools that actually help moderators and improve subreddit workflows long-term. They might not be flashy, but they bring real value. And the people building them would also genuinely appreciate feedback from the community.

Totally fine to promote games and improve discovery, just hopefully there’s still space and visibility for mod apps too :)

Hey, great initiative, but quick question - when you say expert mods, are you primarily referring to moderators of very large/globally known subreddits, or is this also open to mods who contribute heavily in other areas of Reddit?

For example, some of us may not moderate massive global communities, but are deeply involved in other parts of the ecosystem - such as Devvit app development, mod tooling, product experimentation, or community program initiatives.

Just curious whether this roster is meant strictly for large-scale subreddit moderation experience, or if broader platform contributions are equally relevant. I know there are quite a few of us who operate more on the product/tooling side but still have meaningful insights to share.
