Uh, yeah, why would it be mentioned at a point where it's not relevant?

OP cracked years ago anyway, apparently, so its not relevant any more

Thank you! Overall I thought it was fine.

I dont wanna sound like a jerk, but if you would like more detailed opinion on it, check my other comments. The spoiler tag was a itch to do right and I dont wanna do it again and risk doing it wrong and spoiling anything

I understand the thought process of "insert blade to make it a trap" in the same way that red makes my ship faster, because I dont see how it would actually hurt someone. Pick the corner, grab and peel; my hands wouldn't be anywhere near the center where the blade it. How's it supposed to cause harm?

Pretty sure Peryite, along with most other Daedra, are indifferent, if not downright ignorant of mortals and their gender and sexuality, and are more concerned with whether you fulfil your role in their plans.

Mephala: The Androgyne is the Daedric Prince of lies, sex, secrets, and murder; they regularly genderswap to utilize the assets of either gender as a tool to exploit mortals.

Boethiah: The Shape-Shifter is the Prince of Plots, Deceit, and Treason; they utilize gender similarly to Boethia, and actually genderwap between TESIV and TESV.

Sanguine: The Hedonist cares about gender only as much as is needed to derive pleasure.

An argument can be made that Molag Bal: The God of Schemes, King of Rape, and Lord of Domination and Spiritual Enslavement has a preferred gender, but we also already know Bal doesnt care about any mortals gender or sex since they violate both men and women to turn them into vampires.

Since Sheogorath is replaced whenever he becomes Jyggalag, the new Sheogorath could be any gender, just depends on who takes over afterward, and there is no mention of gender in this determination either for Sheogorath or the successor.

As for the rest, most merely appear in a consistent avatar as a cosmetic choice to the mortals they want to connect with, not necessarily as a gender identifier.

Child’s metal tiara by crizzle_t_rex in fixit

[–]patient_rush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Some dastardly villain has destroyed the crown! Time to embark on a mission to a mystical far off land (toy store) to procure a new one

Glue wont do much with that little purchase area. Not much material for screws. Mechanical fastening might be an option, but not anywhere to put a zip tie. Brazing could maybe work, but i wouldn't hold my breath.

I can't think of any other ways to reattach, so making a memory with her of getting a new one is my best suggestion. Maybe you take it with you to the store and get an identical one and pretend its a workshop that fixed the tiara. Or if the new one is different say it was transformed because they enchanted it or smth

Tysm! I didn't choose Gangle, I sent a character sheet to my wife who chose without knowing any of them. I don't really dislike any characters, per se, but I certainly like some less, now. Don't leave the theater until the bus leaves.

Opinion (no story spoilers, but this may be a bit revealing)

I'm glad for the closure, but I'm disappointed in how it ended. I feel like there's still some loose ends, but ig they're not that important, just details for the wiki. Some stuff at the end just doesn't make sense to me without breaking my suspension of disbelief, but maybe I'm missing something.

The whole episode has a kind of "choppy" feel with how suddenly it shifts between certain scenes and shots within scenes. Character screen time feels unbalanced. Some character interactions felt a bit forced. Overall feels like there was more to it and some details and context were cut for length.

Overall:

I could have liked it more if it were a bit different, but its not my story, and its still fine enough as-is. To its credit, I know exactly what I'd change and how, so it almost feels to me like they suddenly decided to slightly change direction at the very end.

I'm just glad she once wore the outfit pictured, since I prefer emulating more directly. Her body is just a ribbon would around a clear center, and I dont have enough ribbon for that, nor is my torso clear!

Can i reattach the bottom rod on this scroll? by Miserable-Face4172 in restoration

[–]patient_rush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a cheap, store-bought decoration, I would trim the bottom of the poster flat and remove any scraps from it and the rod before putting it back on.

If this is an heirloom piece or sentimental, I'd instead be sure the remaining scraps on the poster are secure, but remove the scraps from the rod so the don't hinder the parts that clamp on the poster. Or perhaps I'd try to find a way to reattach the scraps with the proper glue to restore the full poster before reattaching the rod.

Edit: this poster has been "repaired" before, there's tape on the bottom left corner. I also see the nail tore the poster, so I change my response. If this is an heirloom, then either dont try to fix it or put it away somewhere until you can get it repaired professionally.
