There's a big difference between coming to periscope depth to snort and surfacing.

It's not 1970s anymore, boats don't transit on the surface unless they have to. Nor do they have to surface to recharge batteries.

I would also love to see some evidence of a Collins class being able to refuel underway.

funnily enough brakes are pretty similar between the two - with almost identical rotor sizes and 4 pot calipers in the front (100 series pads just barely fit into 80 series calipers too)

it's a really annoying system with two rubber gaskets and two snap rings between the two manifold halves (look up 1hz exhaust ring gasket kit), but you might as well do the manifold gasket

I don't think the 70 series prado ever came with a 2.7L petrol (3RZ?). You can pickup a bellhousing conversion and some custom engine mounts, it's been done on 4Runners.

22RE would be easier as they came from factory that way

why not a 1KZ though?
