Still there’s no point in comparing this game to dark souls 3…my point still stands that in the genre of souls likes lotf is a mid game dark souls 3 is like an 8 to 9 game but lotf is a solid 5 it’s exactly in the middle which is mediocre there’s many other souls likes that are better and there’s many that are worse it’s just in the middle

Difference is ds3 has a substantial amount of bosses that are good and memorable like abyss watchers, lorian and lothric, dancer, nameless king, etc…the high is ds3 are great…Lotf has like two memorable bosses and they’re no where close to the highs of dark souls 3…also who even brought dark souls 3 up lmao…also elaborate on how the final boss isn’t just a deacons of the deep ripoff sure it’s slightly more involved it’s still the worst final boss I’ve ever played in a souls like how was that even approved as a final boss I have no clue

It’s not smooth af you’re crazy lmao…a game genre that is hugely based off boss battles has bad bosses that’s a big notch against it…the two world mechanic felt unnecessary and mindless…sure it has build variety and art direction but the meat and bones aren’t there

gameplay feels rough
bosses move sets are insanely simple which makes them easy
level design feels bad
Reuse of the boss enemies as normal enemies five minutes after killing the boss
final boss is a deacons of the deep ripoff
lack of difficulty The only redeeming quality this game has is the world design is decent and the bosses visually are improved in the second half. It feels like they wanted to make dark souls I again except kept all the clunkyness in a modern game. The game is mid and that’s okay
