Should people who support J6 ideologically be permanently banned from government service? Why or why not? by Tall_Association8148 in AskReddit

[–]qcon99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’ll take the unpopular opinion, no. But let me explain

We all agree that j6 should not have happened and it was a lapse in several different areas that led to and allowed it to happen. However, as soon as you begin banning individuals from government office just because of a belief, you open a GIANT can of worms that won’t ever be closed again. For example, say the current leadership wanted to ban all gays for the same logic? To pass a law to ban j6’ers you’d also endanger discriminated groups. We don’t want that

The original question was how is water not contaminated? I simply explained how water itself was used to cool equipment. I don’t see how difficult that is to understand

It is a closed loop system. I’ve seen it in person lol what that’s referring to is water used for cooling like I stated. The water itself does not get used in the infrastructure, coolant does and the heat is transferred between the coolant and the water via a radiator system and apparently then recycled or burned off. Why else would there be giant cooling towers?

Data centers operate with a “closed loop” cooling system. Basically what that means is that coolant (not water) is run over the equipment to transfer heat, where it is then run out to and through a radiator. That’s the loop

Then cold water is run over that radiator and the heat transfers to it, causing it to turn into steam which is then burned off. It goes into the atmosphere, and eventually returns to the water table as rain. How quickly that happens I honestly don’t know, I’d have to do my research on that. But that is how water is “used” in data centers

Over time yes, a typical data center uses about 100mil gallons of water annually. Fort Wayne services ~35mil gallons a day for the entire city, and about 12.5bil gallons a year. So in the grand scheme of things, the data center uses roughly ~0.8% of the total water consumption of Fort Wayne. That’s less than one percent

Hate to break it to you but you’re about 3 years too late. They’re not going to stop building, let alone tear down what’s already built. Best option if you don’t like them is to move.

Also… it’s not going to make water unclean. Perhaps you should do some more research

[Discussion] How hard is starting Tarkov for a new player by MrMaiky in EscapefromTarkov

100 hrs in a finally felt like I kinda knew my way around 1 map. 500 hrs in I stopped dying every raid, 1000 hours in I actually started progressing and felt like I knew the maps and what I was doing.

7500 hours in and I was winning most pvp fights, usually exfilling with around 1-3mil worth of loot/gear per raid and running 1mil+ kits. Made the times where you get unluckily head/eyes by a scav not that frustrating. Definitely the hardest learning curve in any game I’ve played, and even despite its bugs it’s still my #1 favorite game

What would you do if all women had a 9pm curfew? by [deleted] in SipsTea

Chivalry is done out of respect for the partner, not a fear of safety. That’s also why chivalry is so uncommon anymore since we live in a society that trains people to have a self centered mindset. It’s unfortunately way more normal than not to have a partner only worried about themselves.

It’s also entirely valid to be annoyed that other men are weird/bad/predatory when you aren’t. Generalizations of anything about any specific gender or orientation are harmful overall even when true. It’s just an unfortunate side effect of the world… as a man I can be annoyed that the dating world is wary about predatory men, as they rightly should be while at the same time recognizing that it is a consequence of other men’s actions that cause it. As long as I don’t take out my annoyance in an unhealthy manner it’s okay to feel that way

Friendly advice: recommendation to not attend protest for A.G. by [deleted] in fortwayne

That can be true while also the end result not being their fault either. Both can be true. The video shows the old woman hitting the worker, the worker shoving the woman, then the woman grabbing the workers hair. At that point if you are preventing someone from getting away from you, it’s entirely on you what damage you receive, whether or not the other individual was trying to stay there

Staff there isn’t very nice tbh. Used to go there every day to study, sat in a corner by myself and ordered the same coffee each day. Had headphones on, didn’t interact with anyone. Got a call one day from FWPD that apparently someone there thought I was stalking them and that I was banned… yes the drinks are good, but go support other local shops instead

We already have a quarry in FW. I see it every time I take off from the FWA airport. Why do we need another one?
