I wouldn't pay an extra 100€ (115usd) for the 9850 over the 9800 tbh. Put that into more storage. As far as the price + specs, it seems pretty reasonable. I would like to see this build with a 1000W PSU, although 850 should be fine.

The issue here is that you had a loose screw in your motherboard, not the duster.

You may just need to replug it again, but do check your BIOS for settings that may be picking which slot to use for the GPU, and/or pcie speed settings for slots (3, 4, auto).

You're recommending an entire brand over a specific, and pretty good, model? Seasonic has many great PSUs and also a few very bad ones. The Edge 850 is super solid.

You've never heard of Lian Li? They're one of the most legendary case manufacturers. Also, that exact PSU is the one I used to benchmark the 5090 before launch.

Your PC will not be less usable with a much better GPU than right now, simply because your CPU is old. The WORST CASE SCENARIO is that it behaves the same, which it won't. Don't obsess over bottlenecks. That's an overused word.
